Pedagogical Leaders for Southwest Daycare

Following the hiring of a new day care leader, we are ready to hire pedagogical leaders for the area with vacant positions. We are seeking pedagogical leaders for Børnehuset Gudenådalen, Børnehuset Stevnstrup, Børnehuset Langå and Børnehusene Birkebo/Ålykke.

In Dagtilbud Sydvest we are focused on creating a leadership team that, together, supports and develops our leadership identity and works strategically with the Future Randers and Randers Municipality’s goals for Daycare. We need leadership colleagues who have ambitions and courage for leadership.

In the individual houses the task is to set a clear direction, maintain and create high pedagogical quality, and ensure good well-being for staff in fulfilling the core task.

Dagtilbud Sydvest consists of 8 kindergartens in the southwestern part of Randers Municipality – geographically from Viborgvej, Hornbæk, Stevnstrup to Langå.

About the job

As a pedagogical leader you will help set the direction and create the framework for pedagogical practice based on the strengthened curriculum, as well as the shared child and learning view in Randers Municipality.

We focus on a common competence development program initiated across the entire child area in Randers, around shared quality understanding through pedagogical leadership and strong child communities .

We work with leadership close to the daily work. This means that you will work at child level and be close to staff, among other things regarding sparring on the development of pedagogical practice, so the core task is solved with high quality. You are also close to parent collaboration – both in daily life and in cooperation with the parent council.

You will become part of a leadership team with 6 other pedagogical leaders, as well as a day care leader. You will be supported by your leadership colleagues and the head of day care in the startup; we have leadership meetings every other week and we work with sparring across the team. We are a team with several new pedagogical leaders, so we are focused on team understanding and creating a common direction and strategy – both for leadership practice and the pedagogical everyday life. We develop together and we are a team that helps each other.

• share knowledge, reflect and strengthen pedagogical processes.
• actively contribute to the leadership team and collaborate across the day care center.
• create coherence between theory and practice.
• enter into a close and committed collaboration with parents, staff and partners
• be able to motivate staff and set the framework for collaboration in the Child House
• work interdisciplinary with focus on coherence between daycare, school, family and health
• thrive in a complex daily life with varied tasks – including operations and administration tasks.
• build on what works – and at the same time dare to bring in new ideas.

In addition, we expect that you

• are trained as a pedagogue.
• it is an advantage if you have management experience or potential for leadership
• have completed, started or are interested in starting a theoretical leadership education.

Salary and employment terms

This is a full-time position without overtime limits with a start on January 1, 2027 – and preferably earlier.

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, as well as rules on new pay formation. All regardless of gender, ethnic background, etc. are encouraged to apply.

We conduct 2 rounds of interviews.

The 1st interview will be held on October 22 and 23, 2026 and the 2nd interview on November 5 and 6, 2026. For candidates who progress to the 2nd interview, a personality profile will be made, and feedback will take place on October 27 and 28, 2026.
