Parish Priest in Tornby-Vidstrup Pastorate, Hjørring Northern Deanery, Aalborg Diocese

The position as civil-servant employed parish priest in Tornby-Vidstrup Parish, Hjørring Northern Deanery is available for filling on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

To the position is attached an obligation as parish register keeper and funeral authority.

The position is a full-time position.

As a new parish priest you will receive an introduction program, where you will get a mentor who guides you through in the first period in the office and helps you become familiar with the various tasks that are required of a priest.

The position is covered by the Regulation on the employment in positions in the Church of Denmark (LBK no. 676 of 13/7/2026)

The position is remunerated according to pay grade 1 in the agreement on remuneration of civil-servant employed priests in the Church of Denmark.

In addition to the salary, there is an availability allowance with a rounded base amount as of 31 March 2012 for a full-time position of DKK 43,000.00 per year. For part-time employment, the allowance will be calculated in proportion to the employment quota.

The position is covered by the rules of New Pay, which means it is possible to request a pay negotiation.

There is an official residence attached to the position. The official residence is located at Nejstgårdvej 9, 9850 Hirtshals.

The housing contribution for the official residence, excluding electricity, water and heating, amounts currently to DKK 5,670.00. The official residence was assessed in November 2025.

It is assumed that applicants have a driving licence for a regular car (B) and are willing to use their own car for the job .
