Parish Priest in Varde Pastorate, Varde Deanery, Ribe Diocese

The civil service position as appointed parish priest in Varde Parish, Varde Deanery is available for appointment on 1 February 2027 or shortly thereafter.

The position is a full-time post.

As a new parish priest you will undergo an introductory program, where you will have a mentor who guides you through the early period in the office and familiarizes you with the various tasks expected of a priest.

The position is covered by the Regulation on appointment in positions in the Church of Denmark (LBK no. 864 of 25/6/2013)

The position is remunerated according to salary group 1 in the agreement on remuneration of civil service priests in the Church of Denmark.

In addition to the actual salary, there is a service allowance with a rounded base amount as of 31 March 2012 for a full-time post of DKK 43,000.00 annually. For part-time appointments the allowance will be calculated in proportion to the appointment quota.

Furthermore, there is an allowance attached to the post with a rounded base amount as of 31 March 2012 of DKK 32,800 annually.

The post is covered by the rules on New Salary, which makes it possible to request a salary negotiation.

A housing allowance is attached to the post. The official residence is located at Sletten 66, 6800 Varde.

The housing subsidy for the official residence excluding electricity, water and heating costs currently amounts to DKK 4,349.58. The residence will be assessed before moving in, and the housing subsidy will be determined on the basis of this assessment.

It is assumed that applicants have a driving license for a normal car (B) and are willing to use their own car for the job.
