About the job

Can you create calm, relationships, and good food in the school's busiest and most important space? Then you now have the opportunity to start the new year with a BRAG of a chance to fill perhaps the most important position at Lyngholmskolen as canteen manager from 1 January 2027. If you can answer YES to the following, you are the spice we need to flavour our everyday:

  • You love making and serving exciting and nutritious food for our students and staff in the school's canteen.
  • You thrive in a everyday life that requires an overview, and where you have contact with many people daily.
  • You are approachable with a smile and a twinkle in your eye, a team player, service-minded and thorough.
  • You enjoy collaborating with both students and adults, because you want to be part of something bigger and are passionate about making a meaningful difference for both BIG and small?

We are not looking for a classic canteen employee. How your education and career journey looks can vary widely. We are looking for a kitchen mom or dad, with a high degree of kitchen expertise, strong relationship skills, who is good at being with children and young people, and who can take responsibility independently.

In daily life you will work closely with our school secretary Tanja, who in addition to her administrative tasks also helps a little in the canteen every day.

Your tasks at the school will mainly be

  • To cook food that is sold in the canteen during our 10-minute break and lunch break. Twice a week the cooking and serving will take place in collaboration with students from 6th grade and a teacher. Occasionally there will be interested students in the kitchen.
  • To plan the week's menu in collaboration with Tanja.
  • To ensure that hygiene and self-check comply with the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration's rules.
  • To provide catering for, among others, our Tuesday meetings, the school board meetings and possibly two annual workdays.
  • To help keep the kitchen in the staff room tidy.

What do you get in return? A school where everyone makes an effort to be the best school for our children, a trusting and informal work environment where there is laughter, room to grow, and a strong collegial community. And most importantly, WE WANT EACH OTHER!

Lyngholmskolen in Furesø Municipality is a two- to three-track school organized into a children's environment (0-5th grade) and a youth environment (6-9th grade) and two group arrangements.

Working hours and terms

The position is 27.44 hours per week. Start time from 8:00 – approx. 13:30. The annual norm is distributed over the approx. 41 weeks the school is open, so the actual employment rate is 25 hours per week.

Freedom with responsibility will characterize your working life.

Terms of employment are according to the applicable collective agreement. Please note that before employment a child- and criminal-record check will be obtained.

If you would like more information, you can contact the principal Maria Trampedach Trentemøller at 72 16 41 80 or Tanja Jakobsen at 72 16 54 34.

You can read more about our school at https://lyngholmskolen.furesoe.dk/

The application deadline is Wednesday 18 November. Send your application, CV, and relevant documentation for education and previous employment via the link. We will hold interviews on Monday 23 November from 14:00.
