About the job

Would you like to make a difference in your local community, where you help take care of your family, your friends and your neighbors? Do you have the desire and courage for a different kind of job with many dedicated colleagues? And would you like to help strengthen the effort in the older city and in the nature fire area?

Then employment as part-time firefighting personnel in Hovedstadens Beredskab might be for you. We are currently seeking new colleagues for our two fire stations in Dragør and Store Magleby.

Your background and you as a person

We are looking for you who

  • Have completed or are ready to complete the necessary fire training (Basic and Functional Training for Operations)
  • Can participate in the existing shift roster of 11 shifts during the year, mainly on selected holidays
  • Hold a driving license category B (preferably category C)
  • Can complete Hovedstadens Beredskab's physical test with a satisfactory result

See the requirements here. (Module 1-3)

You do not need to meet all requirements from day one. We will help you with the necessary training - the most important thing is that you are eager to learn, contribute to the community and approach the task with a positive attitude.

It is advantageous if you live and work in the Dragør area, so you can, in principle, be at one of the stations within five minutes after an alarm. However, this is not a requirement.

Your employer should ideally be willing to allow you to leave your workplace to participate in daytime dispatches.

As a person, we imagine that you

  • Have good teamwork skills
  • Are curious and ready to learn new things, as the emergency services is a workplace in constant development
  • Can remain calm and maintain an overview, even when things move quickly

We offer

As part-time firefighting personnel in Hovedstadens Beredskab, you will become part of a work environment characterized by high job satisfaction, professional ambitions, social activities, teamwork, flexibility and personal freedom under responsibility.

We see ourselves as a family-friendly workplace, where there is room to be you. This applies no matter where you are employed within Hovedstadens Beredskab. We take care of each other because a good working environment helps ensure that we can solve our core task. Namely to take care of the Capital Region and our just over 1 million citizens around the clock – year-round.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and D-Brand.

The salary is based on a standby allowance/call-in rate as well as an hourly wage for the hours you have in connection with dispatches as well as drills and continuing education.

Application

If the job sounds right for you, please send us an application and CV as well as a copy of your driving license (both sides).

We expect to conduct interviews in week 48.

If you are offered employment, you will be asked to present a valid health certificate and color vision test (Ishihara), which must be obtained from your own doctor.

You must also be able to present a clean criminal record and a valid driving license. It is a condition that both are maintained throughout the entire employment.

Tests will be conducted ongoing after further arrangements.

If you have any questions about the job as part-time firefighting personnel and our internal further training, you are welcome to contact area manager Peter Ørnbo at telephone 20 58 60 27.
