Roskilde Fire Service is seeking a temporary worker for day shift duty in a fixed-term contract, in the period from 1 December 2026 to and including 28 February 2027.

Roskilde Municipality is a centrally located, growing municipality with about 90,000 inhabitants, roughly half an hour's drive from City Hall Square. The municipality has a large diversity in infrastructure, culture and business life, which makes it an exciting and versatile municipality to deliver services to its citizens. Geographically, the municipality's 212 km² are distributed across fjord coast, natural and agricultural areas, densely urbanized areas, business parks and areas under development. There are good transport connections with an airport, rail traffic, motorways and main roads.

Roskilde Fire Service is in a transformation phase aimed at adapting to future challenges and accommodating the varied needs of the municipality. We are therefore looking for a candidate to participate in this exciting journey, where everyday tasks offer diversity and dynamism.

Our fire service is divided into 2 areas, Station Roskilde with 1-minute readiness, our 5-minute part-time readiness, our volunteer unit, and Station Jyllinge with 5-minute part-time readiness. Roskilde Fire Service runs about 600-700 runs per year, including assistance to neighboring municipalities. Our fleet includes tankers, rescue ladders, tank trucks and flexible units with extinguishing equipment.

We are therefore seeking an emergency services assistant who on Monday to Friday can contribute to the maintenance of the station, vehicles and equipment, as well as join in the dispatch. Main tasks

• Participate in the day shift's daily routines, including station operations, planned station work and other tasks.
• Participate in operational tasks and dispatches as firefighter or Team Leader.
• Perform administrative work, including filling out reports etc.

Qualifications

• Driver's license category B, B/E and C.
• Functional training for Intervention (Requirement).
• Preferably trained as Intervention Team Leader.
• Good physical condition.
• Service-oriented with good situational awareness.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Loyal, able to show empathy and be willing to compromise.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
• Applicants with some operational experience will be preferred.

Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the Ny Løn principles in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
