About the job

Can you see yourself as a firefighter in Brand & Redning at Hans Christian Andersen Airport?

The firefighting function is only a small part of a broad-ranging job as a firefighter at HCA Airport. The majority of the time is spent on incidental work within roles such as handyman, janitor, service- and maintenance-man. And it is important that you have made that clear before applying for the job. That said, we are looking for a person with firefighter training. Not a janitor, not a handyman, not a mechanic – but a firefighter who can also do all the other tasks.

Hans Christian Andersen Airport not only has traditional aviation and aviation-related activity. The airport is also the base for UAS Denmark Test Center, where daily drone flights for testing and demonstration of hardware and software as well as training of drone pilots with multirotor and fixed-wing drones constitute a large part of the activities.

In addition, the airport has an active business park – Business Park – where various companies have leased space in the airport facilities or on the airport grounds, where they have erected corporate domiciles with offices and workshops or private hangars for aircraft.

Does this sound like an exciting opportunity, and would you like to be part of the development where drones and manned aviation will fly side by side – tomorrow’s aviation – starting at Hans Christian Andersen Airport – then you could become part of Brand & Redning.

In the BOR team there are 5 permanent firefighters including the fire chief. In addition, we have 19 firefighters on an hourly on-call contract.
