Pedagogical assistant / educational assistant with a passion for play and pedagogical physical education for M-Huset's Sports Kindergarten

Are you passionate about combining play, pedagogical sports, and pedagogy in a nursery — and would you like to be part of a small, close-knit work community where we use the whole body and the whole heart in everyday life?

We work with pedagogical sports – not as an extra spice, but as the core of everything we do. We are a certified sports institution, and that means movement and play are a big part of the children's everyday life – all day long. We believe that children learn through the body. We transform classic activities into movement activities, and we roll, tumble, crawl, swing and bounce as much as we possibly can.

The pedagogical sports are a constant throughout our everyday life, both in planned activities, the spontaneously arising games and daily routines. Pedagogical sports thus forms the basis for our daily life and serves as our pedagogical starting point.

We work with both high and low arousal. This means that the children gain familiarity with what it means to be out of breath and to have a high energy level, as well as to be relaxed and calm.

For us, sport never is about competition, but always about creating participation opportunities for all children. The staff are role models and actively and enthusiastically participate in movement games. When we, for example, play the king’s follower on the playground, the staff crawl over the log, jump over the rope and roll around on the grass together with the children.

We expect that you can work here for at least one year – preferably more.

Is it you we are missing?

We are looking for you who get energy from tumbling with the children, you who think creatively in the world of play, and you who are curious about how pedagogical sports can strengthen children's communities. You do not need to have experience with pedagogical sports, as we train our own staff in collaboration with DIF and VIA University College.

You may have experience from a 0-6 year day-care or other relevant experience, but the most important for us is that you are curious about pedagogical sports and how to apply it.

We have a work community filled with professional discussions, pedagogical development, and knowledge sharing, and we help each other throughout the house. We expect you to actively participate and take co-responsibility.

General about M-huset

Our nursery is originally located at Ørestads Boulevard 57B in Ørestad City surrounded by the city park, Amager Fælled, water and the metro. Our nursery has 36 children and nine employees in a colorful institution with round walls and foam modules inviting to play and movement. Outside we have a wonderful sensory garden in the playground, where the children love to explore.

Our mobile kindergarten runs every day from Ørestad near Bella Center Metro Station. At 8:00 we go out to our mobile house at Rosenlundsvej in Dragør. Here the children stay until late afternoon, where the bus returns to Ørestad and is home at 15:40. The bus ride takes only 15 minutes.

During the period where we are rehoused, the mobile bus has pickup at Kongelundsvej 79 just two minutes from our original address in Ørestad.

In the mobile kindergarten near Dragør we have fantastic opportunities to give the children a daily life full of movement and outdoor living. We are close to nature, which we can use to develop pedagogical sports outdoors.

The mobile kindergarten is located in scenic surroundings in a mobile community with several other mobile kindergartens. The kindergartens are naturally separated from each other with own rooms, common rooms and playground. In addition, we have access to a large sports hall as well as a campfire site and pizza oven as part of our shared area. We are in the process of starting our first kindergarten group, which you actively will contribute to and have influence on.

We are part of Amager Cluster I, which works with the joint focus: "Here lives the good childhood."

Relocation

The nursery is currently rehoused at Følfodvej 118, Copenhagen S in an older facility with a good floor plan, as M-Huset's building is under facade renovation. During relocation our mobile kindergarten runs from Kongelundsvej 79, Copenhagen S to Rosenlundsvej 1 in Dragør. We expect the pickup of the kindergarten to return to Ørestad on March 1, 2027.

Salary and employment terms

All permanently employed in A Cluster I have the opportunity to use Falck Healthcare. Falck Healthcare has a team of: Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Masseurs, Acupuncturists, Reflexologists - And they also offer health checks. The position is 37 hours per week and starting December 1, 2026.

In connection with the employment we collect two references as well as child and criminal record checks.
