The position is aimed at pedagogical staff, as the task largely revolves around, in close cooperation with the department's other staff, supporting the child’s development, well-being and participation opportunities through a systematic and targeted pedagogical approach. At the same time you will be an active part of the overall task solving in the department and contribute to the pedagogical efforts around all children and young people.

About working on Department West

The group consists of children and young people with congenital or acquired brain injury, often with accompanying effects such as spasticity, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairments, autism spectrum disorders or syndrome diagnoses. The internal developmental age ranges from a few months to around five years.

With us, several different professional groups work closely together in a strong multidisciplinary collaboration with other professional groups in the house. We believe that cooperation, openness and respect are prerequisites for a good working environment. Whether you have many years of experience or are new to the field, your voice will be heard with us. We pull together, and we do it with a professional approach, where perhaps it is you we are missing.

Our professional base

We work from a core task that forms the framework for our pedagogical and health care practices. Children and young people should feel valuable and acknowledged for who they are. They should be supported in mastering as much as possible themselves and be met with respect for their needs in all life phases. They should be heard, involved and have real opportunities for self-determination and co-determination, and our overall effort should create well-being, development and quality of life.

Our pedagogical approach is based on KRAP, Cognitive, Resource-focused and Appreciative Pedagogy. The method is adapted to the child or young person, not the other way around. We work scientifically and document systematically in Nexus. It is not required that you know the methods, as we ensure you gain knowledge through your upcoming education plan. Also thorough introduction.
