Pedagogical assistant for infants at Højgård Children's House

As of 1 December 2026, Højgård Børnehus in Lind is seeking an experienced pedagogical assistant for our nursery children. We are a self-governing, integrated institution in 3 buildings located within walking distance from each other. We have capacity for 208 children aged 0 to 6 years.

We expect you to have a positive attitude, good humor, show commitment, and greet work with a smile. You must be present and caring in your work with the children. We expect you to be proactive, flexible and open to a changing day-to-day life.

You should help create safe frameworks and a sanctuary where children have room to express themselves, develop their self-esteem, and learn freedom with responsibility, cooperation and respect for others. You should be able to work independently and at the same time be able to work in a team and respect jointly made decisions.

You

• you are expected to have experience working with children in the nursery age
• must focus on Presence, Recognition and Development.
• must be aware of the importance of reflecting on both your own and others' practice.
• should preferably be structured, have an overview and see opportunities rather than limitations.
• may be interested in singing and movement with the children, as we are a certified Song Profile institution.
• must be able to navigate a busy everyday life.
• must be able to make independent decisions and trust in your own abilities.
• must not be afraid to try new things, fail and then learn from it.

All permanent staff at Højgård Børnehus have completed an evidence-based training program, called the Herning Model for day care, and it forms the basis of our pedagogical practice. It helps strengthen the staff's professionalism through a common language and a common approach to the children.
