Pedagogical assistant sought for Børnehuset Ilden

About the job

We are seeking a pedagogue assistant for Børnehuset Ilden, 37 hours per week, starting 1 November. Our house consists of two kindergarten groups and two toddler groups and is part of Søndervang-Vestergård Daycare. You will primarily be attached to the kindergarten group, but we help each other across the house, so you should also be ready to fill in in the nursery as needed.

About us

Børnehuset Ilden is located in Sydbyen, where we meet a diversity of cultures and ethnicities. Several of our children have special needs and challenges, and therefore we have additional pedagogues in the rooms. You will join the team together with three permanent pedagogues.

The majority of the children have Danish as a second language, and their families come from different backgrounds and circumstances.

Recognition is our fundamental value, and we have a special focus on the children’s language development. Communication with children, parents and each other is an important part of our everyday life.

We work based on the child’s zone of proximal development and are attentive to seeing the world from the child’s perspective. Each child has a base in one room and a fixed contact pedagogue, who is the coordinator for the child’s well-being and development as well as the collaboration with parents and any cross-disciplinary partners.

We are looking for an assistant who

• Knows themselves and is proactive in pedagogical activities, e.g., creative, musical or motor activities.
• Sees the position as an opportunity to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge within the pedagogical field, possibly with a view to later study.
• Is open to guidance and feedback from colleagues and the leader.
• Is prepared for practical work and to be with a lot of lovely children.
• Is outgoing and approachable and thrives with close parental contact.
• Is ready to adapt if required, and thrives working primarily with kindergarten children, but also with toddler children for shorter periods.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary determination takes place after negotiation with the bargaining-empowered trade organization based on qualifications, unless the position is covered by a pre-agreement that can form the basis for salary determination

Weekly hours: 37 hours
