Pedagogical worker for ASPECT Sundevedsgade (maternity leave cover)

Are you passionate about creating a new and innovative residential service for adults with autism?

We are seeking a maternity leave cover for our dear colleague. We are a residential service where engagement, professionalism and development are at the top of the agenda. We work continuously to create a home for our residents and a workplace for us, where one wants to be and learn. We work as a unified team to develop the residents to be able to move into a more independent framework as well as become masters in knowing themselves through psychoeducation.

On February 1, 2025, we opened the doors to our new residential service. The service is newly built and located at Sundevedsgade on Vesterbro. Here a team of six staff and 15 residents are working to create the frames for a good workplace and a safe home. The residents are in the age group 18-30, have autism and normal intelligence. In addition, several residents have various comorbidities in the form of OCD, ADHD, anxiety and depression. We work with guided and interdisciplinary approach and have good opportunities for personal development, courses and teaching.

You are able to express yourself in writing, as one of our most important tools is daily documentation. You are patient, empathetic and good at creating a professional relationship with great respect for each individual's life situation. You are responsible, proactive and contribute positively to the working environment. Your primary tasks will consist of

• practical and pedagogical support: Help with daily tasks, support in social contexts, motivate participation in activities
• residential training: Work in a structured way with the residents' goals
• collaboration: Engage in close cooperation with residents, relatives and colleagues across Aspect
• documentation: Contribute to the ongoing documentation of the residents' development and well-being.

I am trained as a social educator or have relevant experience with pedagogical work.

I want to work on motivating residents to use their resources mentally, socially and physically to have a meaningful everyday life.

I can support residents in creating structure and overview of daily tasks in relation to their own housing and employment as well as retention and development of their social network.

I can work independently and taking responsibility is a natural way for me to perform my job.

I know that documentation is important, not because it is a legal requirement, but because it helps create the thread in the pedagogical work.

I thrive in an environment with good collaboration and where knowledge sharing, sparring and dialogue are a natural way for me to solve my tasks.

Employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible. The position is a maternity leave replacement, so the final end date is not precisely known yet, but we expect the duration to be about nine months. Salary and employment conditions: In accordance with the current collective agreement and within the framework of local salary formation. We work in the time window 07:30-22:30 in a fixed six-week rotation, and there will be weekend work about every 3rd weekend. There is occasional lone work in the outer hours and work on holidays.
