In Galaxen you will work with professionally strong colleagues, influence on everyday life and a work community where we help each other and put the children first.

In Galaxen's nursery we work in smaller groups of children, so we can follow the children’s initiatives, be present and ensure that every child is seen and heard. We take the individual child's needs and development as our starting point and are curious about how our pedagogical practice best supports the children's well-being, independence and participation in the community.

This can, for example, be at mealtimes, where we give the children time to scoop up and eat by themselves, or when we help a child join play with the others. We observe, reflect and act if a child shows signs of not thriving or needs extra support. We continuously ask ourselves: What do the children need, and what should we as adults do to meet them?

Who are you?

You are a trained pedagogue and want to be an active part of a community where everyone contributes.

You do not need many years of experience, but you must be curious, stable and ready to take co-responsibility for the children's everyday life.

You thrive with the everyday routines in the nursery, but can also adapt when the day takes a new turn.

You are present with the children, interested in your colleagues’ perspectives and want to develop practice together with others.

For you, the children come first, and good collaboration is an important part of your pedagogical work.

Who are we?

Galaxen is an integrated institution centrally on Amager with three nursery groups and two kindergarten groups on Øresundsvej as well as the outreach kindergarten Cassiopeia in Dragør. In the nursery each room has three spaces and access to a large common room, so we have good opportunities to arrange different play zones and create room for small groups, play and deep engagement. We are continuously working to adapt the physical learning environments to the children's needs, and soon we will also have a brand-new playground.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is in principle 37 hours per week. We hope you can start as soon as possible and no later than December 1, 2026. Salary and employment conditions according to applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. In connection with the employment, we obtain child and criminal records checks and take references.
