Personal assistant sought for 23-year-old RUC student in Roskilde for about 24 hours per week on mixed day and night shifts

A job with time for the individual and room to make a difference. In this respiratory arrangement you will become an important support in a young man's daily life.

The position requires that you have a driver's license and are comfortable driving a car.

He lives in his own apartment and is studying Social Science in his 3rd year at RUC.

He has an active social life and is interested in computer games, film and music among other things. Therefore we are seeking aides who want to support in daily life and be part of an active youth life.

You will become an important part of a fixed team of helpers around the young man who uses a ventilator around the clock.

The primary task is respiratory monitoring, and contributing to a safe and stable everyday life.

Thorough training is offered as well as respiratory certification on RCØ, so experience with a ventilator is not required.

In addition, cooking, accompaniment and general daily tasks are included in connection with studies, leisure activities and social events.

Your tasks will include

• Respiratory monitoring and handling of ventilator equipment
• Observation and safeguarding the citizen's wellbeing
• Cooking and lighter practical tasks
• Accompaniment to studies, activities and social events
• Driving to and from the university and other activities

An electric wheelchair and a ventilator are used around the clock.

The work alternates between active periods and quieter moments, where there is often an opportunity to engage in one’s own activities.

Working hours

Approximately 24 hours per week, on a mixed day and night shift in a 4-week cycle.

Day shift 07:15-19:15

Night shift 19:15-07:15
