About the job

Do you want to help develop the future of holistic care in Sorø Municipality?

We are looking for a physiotherapist for a newly created position in home care, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for citizens in their own homes. You will become a central professional in working to strengthen the rehabilitative approach in holistic care and will have a major influence on the development of both the role and the interprofessional collaborations.

We are in the middle of an exciting development with the Elderly Act's focus on holistic care, where we want to strengthen the rehabilitative effort, and we hope that you will join us. We place a high value on professional sparring, development and learning, as we believe this is the only way we can ensure high-quality practices for the municipality's citizens.

As a physiotherapist with us you take initiative, work independently and see opportunities where others see limitations.

Your tasks

As a physiotherapist in home care, your tasks will primarily be to support the rehabilitative approach through professional assessments, guidance and interprofessional collaboration.

Your tasks will include, among other things, to

  • conduct physiotherapeutic assessments and assess citizens’ functional ability and rehabilitation potential
  • support citizens' ability to master their own lives and manage daily activities for as long as possible
  • guide and advise staff on rehabilitative approaches, mobilization and appropriate solutions around the citizens
  • contribute with professional sparring in complex citizen journeys
  • participate in interprofessional meetings and coordinate efforts across disciplines
  • teach and develop staff competencies as needed
  • contribute to the development of the therapeutic effort in holistic care

In addition, it is important that you

  • thrive with independent tasks and working in a structured way
  • have good communication and collaboration skills both in writing and speaking; you will need to talk with citizens and staff with diverse backgrounds
  • are professionally grounded and proactive in developing professional competencies
  • can navigate complex citizen pathways and collaboration structures
  • you must be able to guide and advise interprofessional partners
  • have interest in and preferably experience with everyday rehabilitation
  • have interest in and preferably experience with neurology and geriatrics
  • have a driving license

About us

Home care is distributed across several facilities, and there will be one occupational therapist and one physiotherapist affiliated with home care at start. You will collaborate with the occupational therapist to carry out the municipality's holistic care efforts. You will be attached to three of the home care districts, while the occupational therapist handles the remaining three, but there will be cross-municipality tasks where collaboration with the occupational therapist is most important.

In addition, we have one physiotherapist who works as part of our mobile specialty team, who takes on citizens after discharge and specializes in palliation. At our nursing homes we also have therapists employed who work with rehabilitation in the broadest sense. You will become part of professional sparring teams within your areas of work, including a Therapeutic Forum where therapists meet once a month across specialties and employment sites in Health and Care.

We offer

  • An exciting and varied everyday life with many different professional tasks and challenges.
  • A self-directed position with great influence on your own workday and task solving.
  • Good opportunities for professional development and learning.
  • A strong collegial community with a high degree of sparring, helpfulness and room for a good laugh.

If you would like more information about the position, please call the head of Home Care Susanne F. Pedersen at telephone 20 53 55 63.
