Physiotherapists sought for permanent positions in neurorehabilitation – 24-hour rehabilitation, Horsens under Hammel Neurocenter Regional Hospital

We are seeking physiotherapists for fixed, full-time positions in our 24-hour unit for rehabilitation at a specialized level in Horsens, with commencement on December 1, 2026.

You will become part of an organization in the midst of an important change. In connection with the Health Reform, the specialized area is transferred from the municipality to the region as of January 1, 2027.

Who are we?

We work with citizens after completed hospital stay, where the length of the course depends on the individual's development potential – typically around three months. Our goal is to support the individual citizen in becoming active and participating in their future life based on their own resources, wishes and needs and in close collaboration with relatives.

You will become part of a dynamic, engaged and interdisciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, social- and health care assistants, neuropsychologist, speech-language pathologist and chief physician. Together we work purposefully and specialized with individual rehabilitation plans and a common focus on making citizens active participants in their own lives.

Your tasks

As a physiotherapist with us you work with treatment and rehabilitation of citizens with acquired brain injury, which can have both physical and cognitive consequences. Among your central tasks are:

• Assessment and rehabilitation of citizens with complex issues after acquired brain injury
• Development and follow-up of individual rehabilitation plans based on the citizen's resources and goals
• Close interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration with colleagues, citizens and relatives
• Documentation and professional communication – both oral and written

About you

We are looking for you who

• Are professionally engaged, curious and want to work with people with acquired brain injury and complex issues in a rehabilitative daily routine.
• Are interested in, and preferably have experience with, neurorehabilitation as well as complex pathways.
• See neuro-pedagogical strategies as a natural part of the task.
• Have good collaboration skills, thrive in team collaboration, seek sparring and value interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Are proactive and able to plan and prioritize your own tasks independently.
• Communicate and convey clearly both orally and in writing and thrive in collaboration with citizens and relatives.
• Move seamlessly between monocurricular and interdisciplinary tasks, also when daily life requires quick shifts. At the same time you actively contribute to a good working environment together with your interdisciplinary colleagues.

It is an advantage if you have a driving license, but not a requirement, as rehabilitation for some citizens will also take place in the citizen's own home.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the area. With reference to the Act on a Child Certificate in connection with employment of staff, a child certificate will be obtained in connection with any employment. Employment is with Region Midtjylland with service currently at Hospitalsenheden Midt, Hammel Neurocenter Regional Hospital.

About 24-hour Rehabilitation, Horsens under Hammel Neurocenter Regional Hospital

Vital Horsens temporary rehabilitation places will change name on January 1, 2027 to 24-hour Rehabilitation-Horsens, and thus become part of Hammel Neurocenter Regional Hospital – Western Denmark’s highly specialized hospital within neurorehabilitation.

From January 1, 2027 there will be 10 24-hour rehabilitation places as well as up to 6 citizens who live at home and alternately come to 24-hour Rehabilitation-Horsens to receive day rehabilitation and receive rehabilitation at home. We work with citizens after completed hospital stay, where the length of stay depends on the individual citizen's development potential – typically a program of about three months.

The position is, as a rule, a full-time position.
