Plejecenter Sjælsø Group 12 is looking for a dedicated and skilled Social and Health Care Assistant for the day shift.

This is now your opportunity to participate in the early and exciting planning for the relocation of Group 12 to the newly built House 53 in April / May 2027.

About the job Group 12 is the last department remaining in the original part of Plejecenter Sjælsø, and there are 14 residents with varying needs for assistance and daily care.

You are organized and would really like to be part of the entire planning phase for the move to the new house; perhaps you have done this before and have good ideas and proposals that we can use together.

Together with your colleagues, who are a nurse and social- and health care assistants, you handle each resident's care and support tasks.

You will become the contact person for 2 to 3 residents, where everyone in the group is responsible for ensuring that each day is a good day with activities, such as music, games and walks.

You will have responsibility for / be involved in guiding and informing residents, as well as their relatives, based on the individual's living conditions, health and illness.

You plan the nursing tasks and consult with the group’s nurse daily, and the tasks are allocated according to competencies.

About you We want you to be

• You are educated as a Social- and Health Care Assistant; you may be newly graduated or have several years of experience.
• You are engaged and professionally skilled in caring for the frail elderly and you want to become even better.
• You are focused on creating the best possible framework for the individual resident; you have a strong desire to spend time with residents in the work with care and activities.
• You are passionate about creating a good everyday life with focus on presence, well-being and quality of life.
• You are pedagogical, have good cooperation skills, are responsive, show flexibility and calm in relation to task solving.
• Your colleagues highly value you, in particular because you see collaboration, interdisciplinarity and good collegiality as a very important part of a good working environment.
• Within your area of competence you are able to plan, perform, reflect and independently assess when you can make a decision and when it is important to involve your colleagues.
• You think rehabilitative and you participate in and understand the importance of providing residents with good care, nursing and practical assistance in collaboration with your colleagues.
• You are good with IT and you will be responsible for the written documentation of care in collaboration with and as a role model for your colleagues.
• You are reliable, have a good sense of humor, are flexible and enjoy teaching others.

About Plejecenter Sjælsø Plejecenter Sjælsø is part of Rudersdal Municipality and sits with a beautiful view over Sjælsø in scenic surroundings in Birkerød. We are in the process of a major renovation and new build, where today there are 140 residents, in total 208 residents when the new care center is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

We are a diverse and active staff group, as well as a team of regular substitutes.

We provide internships for social- and health-care helper students, social- and health-care assistant students and nursing students. In addition, we host residents in trainee positions or company internships from 4 to 13 weeks at a time.

Employment terms The job is a fixed day shift 37 hours per week. If a full-time position is not right for you, we are happy to discuss another number of hours. The job starts 1 December 2026 or 1 January 2027.

Daily working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a weekend shift every 3 weeks.

Employment at Plejecenter Sjælsø is conditional on a satisfactory criminal record check, which we order by agreement with you.
