We are seeking a present, clear and development-oriented care center manager who will help set the direction for Care Center Glesborg and at the same time play a central role in the development of Norddjurs Municipality's overall dementia effort.

About Care Center Glesborg

Care Center Glesborg is located in scenic surroundings on the outskirts of Glesborg and consists of 26 fixed dementia beds and 30 ordinary care apartments . In addition, there are four evaluation apartments, used for citizens with dementia where there is a need to clarify functional level, support needs and future housing form. The apartments can also be used for temporary stays and respite for citizens and relatives.

Care Center Glesborg is also the focal point for the municipality's overall dementia effort. Here the day-care dementia center, dementia coordinators, evaluation beds and care apartments are organizationally gathered. This creates good opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, professional sparring, knowledge sharing and coherent pathways for people with dementia and their relatives.

The management consists of a care center manager and two department managers, who together are responsible for operations, quality and development. You will thus become part of a close leadership team where collaboration, dialogue and shared responsibility are central.

The care center also has its own kitchen, where nutrition assistants prepare meals from scratch with focus on nutrition, quality and the individual resident's needs and wishes.

Your role as care center manager

As care center manager you will have a central role in both daily operations and strategic development of Care Center Glesborg.

You must ensure stable and well-functioning operations, while leading the development of professionalism, organization and collaboration.

You will have, among other things, the following responsibilities

• Leadership of two department managers and direct personnel management
• The overall operation and development of the care center
• Quality assurance, supervisory leadership and professional development
• Economy and optimal use of resources
• Competence development and professional leadership
• Occupational health and safety, well-being and collaboration with MED and TRIO
• Implementation of municipal policies, quality standards and national guidelines
• Cross-cutting collaboration with citizens, relatives, employees and external partners

You will also become an active member of the leadership team in Care Center Glesborg and Health and Care. Here you contribute to the overall development of the area and to a strong sense of workplace camaraderie across the organization.

We work, among other things, with welfare technology, professional further development and innovation , while we focus on activities and communities that create a meaningful daily life for residents.

We are in the midst of an important development process

Norddjurs Municipality is in the process of uniting and strengthening the municipal dementia effort at Care Center Glesborg. This means that employees, residents and professional functions from Fuglsanggården are continually gathered at Glesborg.

It is a substantial change process, where the ambition is to consolidate the strong professional competencies and experiences in one organization and create a shared culture, work processes and understanding of the core task .

Here you as care center manager will play a completely central role.

In the spring of 2026 a joint workshop program focusing on person-centered care was completed, which will be the professional approach in the overall dementia effort. In the fall of 2026 the work with culture development, collaboration, shared values and employee involvement continues. In 2027 targeted dementia-related education and competence development will follow.

It gives you a unique opportunity to help shape a unified dementia effort and create a strong foundation for future professionalism.

We are looking for someone who can set direction and create engagement

You do not need to know everything from day one. But you must want to take responsibility, create direction and be a visible and present leader.

• Have a management education at least at diploma level
• Have management experience from a similar position
• Have solid experience with financial management
• Have experience with the dementia field or a strong interest in developing the area
• Can balance safe operations with professional and organizational development
• Can create common direction, engagement and followership
• Are visible, present and inclusive in your leadership
• Have strong relational competencies and a view to interdisciplinary collaboration
• Focus on well-being, working environment and employees' competence development
• Can translate strategies, recommendations and political decisions into meaningful practice
