  • We offer thorough onboarding, with opportunities for development and education

  • We have a strong multidisciplinary collaboration with good support, including daily triage, regular team meetings and resident conferences

Would you, together with us, become good at getting better!

About us

At Plejehjemmet Rytterkasernen we talk about having a heart in the right place; to us this means we have an empathetic and open approach to residents' differences, lifestyle and life experience.

We work from the rehabilitative reference framework and understand how important it is, in cooperation with the resident, to work with the whole person. We ensure to involve both the personal and professional networks around our residents.

Thus, that we see and support each resident, based on a holistic view of the person, in maintaining and creating an active, dignified and meaningful life.

At Rytterkasseren we are about 60 wonderful employees. We include SSA, SSH, nurses, pedagogues, occupational therapists and house assistants, flex workers and of course students and trainees.

We live centrally in Odense, near the cozy H.C. Andersen district, close to the railway station and the light rail. We have 52 residents, distributed across 6 departments, of which 4 are dementia wards.

Are you our new colleague?

As an evening shift, you will be part of a team of 8 skilled and independent colleagues (SSH/SSA). Together with a fixed colleague, you will handle tasks for 12 residents who have challenges within dementia care or are challenged by somatic illness. You are an important part of the residents’ everyday life, and will function as a secondary coordinator for approximately 3 residents.

You will be trained around our dementia ward with 7 residents each, as you will cover these wards during holidays and sickness.

About you, we expect

  • A colleague who is aware of their own professional competence and dares to apply it
  • You can meet the professional requirements regarding documentation
  • You are positive in spirit and have a good mood and are able to pass that on to the residents
  • You should want us to develop our community together and raise social capital while being an attentive, present and loyal colleague
  • You as an employee have close contact with relatives and multidisciplinary collaborators

We offer

  • A good working environment, which is updated among other things through about 4-6 annual newsletters, so we always know what is going on; this provides security in daily life
  • Joint SSA, staff and evening shift meetings, where we are informed about news and discuss our shared workplace
  • Focus on good collaboration, both between management and staff and within our staff group
  • A workplace with a strong professional focus, flexible frameworks, a highly engaged leadership – and with a group of colleagues who value and respect each other

In addition, you must be able to present evidence of relevant healthcare education. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered for the position and will receive a rejection at the end of the advertisement.
