Prevention consultant for Kullorsuaq

In Avannaata Municipality in Kullorsuaq, the position of prevention consultant is available for filling as of 01 November 2026 or by further agreement .

The work as a prevention consultant will involve the following areas of work

·Coordination of cross-disciplinary preventive efforts in the village.

·Responsible for the implementation of and follow-up on the municipality's prevention policy, as well as the Children & Youth policy.

·Co-responsible for the development of a preventive activity plan in the village.

·Coordinate existing resources.

·Initiate concrete preventive measures.

·Concrete outreach/awareness work in schools and institutions.

·Cooperation with associations and voluntary work on preventive activities.

·Responsible for evaluation and follow-up of local projects.

·Coordinator and secretary for the work of the Prevention Committee.

·Actively participate in the evaluation of preventive work in Greenland.

Your qualifications

Must be interested in the area of preventive work and have the willingness to actively participate in the development of the preventive efforts in the municipality.

Must have a basic education in the social or health field or have some relevant education.

In addition you must

·Be outgoing, including the ability to communicate over local radio and TV.

·Be inspiring

·Have an overview.

·Have good collaboration skills.

·Be able to coordinate work in the town and the four associated villages.

·Be bilingual.

·Have experience with planning and follow-up work.

·Be flexible.

·Be able to formulate proposals on preventive initiatives for the politicians.

Salary and employment terms

The position is classified as a civil servant-like position. An allowance of DKK 3,000.00 per month is added.

No staff housing is provided for the position.

Employment is conditional on a satisfactory criminal record and child safeguarding check. These will be obtained by the employing authority with the employee's written consent, after which the employing authority will request them from the National Police.
