About the job

Some children learn best when teaching is clear, organized and meaningful.

When mathematics and Danish become practice-oriented and make sense.

When nature and technology become something you can explore, feel, experience and understand – and when the humanities and creative subjects come alive.

At the Inclusion Center, we are looking for a trained teacher who wants to teach our primary school pupils in the Inclusion Center in close collaboration with the class's pedagogue.

We are looking for you who can combine professionalism, structure and relationship work – and who believes that all children can learn when the framework is right.

A place where well-being and academic progress go hand in hand

The Inclusion Center is a special education teaching offer (§20, paragraph 2) located in Jerslev in Kalundborg Municipality.

Here we have 57 pupils from 0th–9th grade who have been assessed due to behavioral, social, emotional and/or learning difficulties. Many pupils have diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD or attachment disorders.

We are looking for you to, together with the class pedagogue, take ownership and manage our ICB class, which currently contains 7 fantastic pupils from 1st–2nd grade.

What unites the pupils is not their difficulties, but their need for clear adults , safe relationships , and clear learning situations .

Teaching with educational intervention as a foundation

With us, teaching and special education are inextricably linked.

We work targeted with educational intervention in teaching , where learning takes place in an adapted environment with clear structure and professional guidance.

Our core principles of educational intervention are

  • We compensate for what the child cannot yet do and thereby create an environment where the child does not experience repeated defeats.
  • We focus on what the child has not yet developed.
  • We communicate and indicate the goal to the child and guide it on how to reach it.
  • We adjust the environment so the child is continuously provided with optimal development opportunities in relation to the development goals set for them.
  • We work with the child in the zone of proximal development .

This means that you as a teacher

  • Teach with clear goals and concrete support in all of the class's subjects
  • Adapt the teaching to the pupils' prerequisites and zone of proximal development
  • Work systematically with structure, repetitions and clear boundaries
  • See behavior as communication and respond professionally and calmly
  • Collaborate closely with the pedagogue who supports teaching in the classroom

We adjust the framework before we impose the demands , and we guide the pupils clearly on the path to academic and personal development.

Our values – and perhaps yours

With us, well-being and academic progress are prerequisites for one another.

We work from

  • Recognition as the pedagogical basis
  • Clear structure, predictability and fixed routines
  • A strengths-based view of children
  • Small, safe learning communities
  • Close and respectful cooperation with parents

Our goal is not only academic results.

Our goal is to give the children a love of learning, courage for life and confidence in their own abilities .

Your role – as a teacher in a special pedagogical environment

As a teacher at the Inclusion Center you will become a central adult in the students' school day. You:

  • Teach in the Inclusion Center's primary school
  • Collaborate closely with your colleagues
  • Create calm and structured learning situations
  • Work with clear classroom management and relationship building
  • Contribute to development plans, documentation and parental cooperation
  • Participate in a cross-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues, leadership and PPR

You can maintain an overview, even when students' emotions run high – and they do, from time to time.

You can stand firm – with calm, clarity and warmth, for you want the best for the pupils.

We offer you

  • A full-time position in a special pedagogical learning environment, in small classes
  • Pupils who benefit from clear teaching and stable relationships
  • Close collaboration between teachers and pedagogy staff
  • When mentoring with leadership, PPR and professionally engaged colleagues
  • An workplace where you are never alone
  • A meaningful everyday life where your professionalism makes a real difference
  • To be part of a school and a department that wants to develop

We are looking for you, who

  • Is a trained teacher
  • Has interest in or experience with special education and -teaching
  • Works in an appreciative, structured and clear way
  • Believes in relationship work as a prerequisite for learning
  • Is calm, persistent and mentally robust
  • Has humor and enjoys being part of a committed community
