Production Manager for Primodan A/S – lead the production in a Danish-owned machinery company in growth

On behalf of Primodan, Career | a JKS Company is seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager who will take full responsibility for the production at the company's site in Vipperød. Primodan delivers machines and complete plants to the food industry with a particular focus on the dairy sector. Primodan is in a growth period, where processes and structures must continuously develop and adapt to a higher activity and turnover level. The production professionally consists of three main areas: Mechanical processing, welding, and mechanical and electrical assembly.

You will play a central role in both daily operations and management as well as in the ongoing development of processes, structures and the organization. This takes place in a privately owned company with proud traditions, short decision paths and a workforce with both short and many years of tenure.

It is essential that you thrive close to the production and the employees, and that you see good collaboration as a natural prerequisite for achieving results.

As Production Manager you are therefore not only expected to run the existing production. You should also actively contribute to the company's strategic development and help create the processes and structures that can support continued growth.

You will become part of Primodan's leadership team together with the top management as well as the Engineering Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Aftersales Manager. There are thus good opportunities to influence and make your mark on both the production and the company as a whole.

Core areas of the job

As Production Manager you will be responsible for a production with about 20 employees, including four supervisors and a team leader. With approachable and visible leadership you ensure close contact to both the employees and the daily operations, where ongoing 1:1 conversations with your employees are a natural part of your managerial responsibility.

Your most important task will be to ensure that the production has the right resources and competencies to deliver machines and plants in the agreed quality and according to project plans. This includes responsibility for assembly, FAT tests, and to ensure the necessary staffing for installation, SAT tests and commissioning at customer sites.

At the same time you focus on continuously adapting the resources and developing the employees' competencies in line with order intake and forecasts.

You will become an important sparring partner for our supervisors, whom you support in daily coordination and prioritization. In addition you will play a central role in ensuring an efficient production flow and strengthening collaboration between production and the other functions in Primodan. You will therefore work closely with, among others, Engineering, Supply Chain, Aftersales and Project Management.

In addition you help ensure a good and safe working environment, while you focus on training and development of apprentices in industrial engineering and industrial electricians.

Your other areas of responsibility and tasks

• Establish and maintain an overview of competencies and capacity in production
• Continuously update the production plan and ensure progress in ongoing projects
• Conduct board meetings in close collaboration with supervisors
• Ensure clear guidelines, instructions and procedures
• Optimize the distribution between in-house production and tasks performed by subcontractors, especially in mechanical processing and welding
• Collaborate closely with the company’s union representative

About you

Your specific educational background is not decisive. The most important thing is that you have solid technical understanding and a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a similar position.

The workplace is in Vipperød, and you can expect about 10-20 travel days per year in connection with visits to Primodan's customers and suppliers.
