Operations Development Manager

As Operations Development Manager you will have a central role close to the production management, where you create overview, progress and measurable results across CRH Concrete's factories.

Rollen The role is newly created and reports to our Operations Director. You will be part of the production leadership team and act as a close sparring partner for both the Operations Director and the production managers. The role has no direct people management responsibility, but gives you a broad contact surface and the opportunity to influence the development of the production organization.

Your primary purpose will be to strengthen performance and execution across production. Among other things you will further develop our performance tracking, drive improvement initiatives and coordinate the overall CAPEX process. This requires you to combine analytical strength with project management and the ability to generate buy-in across the organization.

Your main tasks will be

• act as the Operations Director's right hand and contribute to tactical and strategic tasks, decision briefs, analyses and follow-up
• develop and drive our monthly Production Performance Reviews and further develop KPI tools and management reporting
• identify and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives including planning, efficiency, footprint, quality, safety and cost reduction
• strengthen standardization, best practices and common processes across factories and departments
• drive and further develop the CAPEX process and investment portfolio, including business cases, governance, prioritization, budget follow-up, risks and realization of benefits.

We imagine that you

• have a relevant higher education degree in, for example, production, engineering, supply chain, economics or business development
• have experience with project management, controlling, management support or a similar cross-functional role
• would ideally have worked in an industrial company or gained relevant experience from the consulting industry
• are strong in working with data, KPIs and key figures and can translate them into clear decision bases
• communicates professionally in Danish or another Scandinavian language as well as English.

As a person you take responsibility naturally and are able to maintain an overview when tasks are complex and involve many stakeholders. You work purposefully, follow up and create momentum. At the same time you can build strong relationships and create buy-in without formal management responsibility.

How you succeed After the first months you will have built a solid understanding of our business, production, factories. You will have established close collaboration with leaders and key employees, and you contribute to creating an overview of performance, improvement opportunities and investments.

In the long term you succeed when you are the natural strategic sparring partner for the production management and independently drive cross-functional initiatives from analysis to implementation. You are known for your execution power, high quality in deliverables and ability to create buy-in in the organization.
