Professional Beacon for the Unit for Authority and Access in Slagelse

We are in the process of strengthening and developing the specialized social sector for adults and are therefore looking for you as our future academic coordinator in Authority and Access.

We are looking for you who want to make a difference for citizens, and who set a high standard for professionalism in the authority area.

The position is full-time, and you will have influence on the content of the role and opportunities for personal development in collaboration with the unit manager, team manager and the rest of the department.

The tasks are varied and include professional leadership and sparring, teaching tasks within the specialized adult area, and being a driver for the professional development in the authority area. It requires your professional expertise and for you as a professional to be able to encompass the specialized adult area broadly.

Who are we

The Center for Disability and Psychiatry is undergoing a major restructuring of the entire center in collaboration with our municipal provider.

The Center for Disability and Psychiatry, Authority and Access, consists of about 60 employees including a unit manager, a team manager for Access, a team manager for Authority, the rest of the professional coordinators within the unit, a lawyer and an administrative coordinator.

Access consists of about 14 employees who work closely with Authority.

Authority consists of 3 teams: Disability, Psychiatry/Vulnerable and Team BPA/§100 with a total of 32 advisors.

As a professional coordinator you will have organizational anchoring in the Unit Administration with reference to the unit manager in Authority and Access.

We have just completed a development process in collaboration with the Danish Ombudsman and the National Board of Social Services regarding quality assurance of case handling in the department. As a professional coordinator you will play a significant role in further developing and maintaining good methods in close cooperation with management and the other professional coordinators and our lawyer.

About the job

You must be strong in your authority role, have an overview and be structured.

At the same time you must be a strong communicator with a learning-oriented perspective both regarding the advisory group and partners. You must be able to navigate all areas within the specialized adult area, and it will only be an advantage if you have an interest in or knowledge of the specialized area for disability benefits with compensation under § 100 and BPA - User-controlled Personal Assistance.

In daily operations you should act in the "here and now" problem solving, as well as provide sparring and supervision regarding the individual advisor’s task performance.

You should also be able to teach the advisor group as a whole and be able to plan training, e.g. in VUM 2.0 or other professional knowledge.

Primary tasks

• to support the handling of cases in accordance with Authority principles for good case processing
• form partnerships in particularly difficult case processes as a sparring partner
• continue to develop colleagues' and your own professional competencies in the authority area by staying updated on relevant legislation, quality and development projects, professional literature, etc.
• ensure collaboration across all teams in the department and participate in cross-cutting collaborations with other centers
• perform leadership supervision in collaboration with the team manager/lawyer
• ensure the preparation and updating of quality standards, guidelines, professional standards, annual plans and a handbook and ensure that the material is used in daily work
• handle a small number of cases as needed

• are educated social worker/social counselor with a strong social-science or legal foundation that can be translated into authority work

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement and based on the principles of local pay setting.

We would like to point out that you must obtain a criminal record yourself before employment can take place.
