About the job

Are you eager to support researchers, managers and professionals across Aalborg University Hospital, Aalborg University, a number of Danish municipalities, etc. in creating changes that make a real difference for children and adolescents with mental health difficulties? Do you thrive in an analytical and structured way of working – and can you handle many different types of tasks in a dynamic project environment? Do you have a flair for administrative processes, and do you enjoy creating structure and keeping track of details?

Then you may be the project assistant we are seeking for the Bedst for Os Secretariat in child and adolescent psychiatry in the North Denmark Region.

This is a time-limited full-time position (37 hours per week) with start on January 1, 2027 and a duration of 5 years.

About Bedst for Os Bedst for Os is an ambitious partnership between the child and adolescent psychiatry in the North Denmark Region, Novo Nordisk Foundation and The Obel Family Foundation, aiming to create more and better treatment for children and adolescents with treatment‑demanding mental distress and mental disorders. The Bedst for Os project is carried out in collaboration with four northern Danish municipalities; Thisted, Mariagerfjord, Hjørring and Aalborg. From 2027 onwards, more new partners are expected to join the project.

About the job You will play a central role in supporting and coordinating activities in the project across areas of action and contribute to the overall project management and progress. The role requires you to create structure, maintain an overview and ensure that tasks and processes are aligned.

An important part of the job is secretariat support for the project’s meeting forums and working groups. Here you will be responsible for planning, preparing and following up on meetings to create good framework for collaboration and decisions.

You will also play an active role in planning and carrying out meetings, workshops and events with the project’s many different partners and stakeholders. At the same time you contribute to making the project visible and communicating results through communications tasks in collaboration with relevant partners.

The position has an outward-facing character, and you will work closely with different professional disciplines across Aalborg University Hospital, Aalborg University and the collaborating municipalities and other organizations. It is therefore important that you thrive in a coordinating role with many collaboration interfaces.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Secretariat support for the project’s meeting forums and working groups
  • Preparation of presentations, briefings and reports for the project management
  • Coordination of activities and support for collaboration across the project’s areas of action
  • Planning and execution of meetings, workshops and events
  • Communications tasks, including the preparation of materials and contribution to stakeholder management

The work involves both independent responsibility and close coordination with many actors.

As there will be meetings and activities across the region, a driving license is a prerequisite. Meeting activity in the forthcoming Region Østdanmark may also be expected.

About you We envision you as an academically and administratively strong generalist with a desire to work in a complex and meaningful project environment. Concrete experience from psychiatry, the education sector or civil society organizations is an advantage but not a requirement. You thrive in a role where you can work strategically with support for management decisions and help create an overview and progress in the project.

You preferably have

  • A relevant social science or other academic education
  • Experience with secretariat support and executive support
  • Experience with project work, analysis and communication
  • A structured, strategic and systematic approach to tasks
  • Good relational skills and good collaboration abilities to solve common tasks with both internal and external partners
  • The ability to take control of your own tasks and push them through to completion.

We offer We offer a meaningful and challenging job with a high degree of influence and a high level of professionalism. You will become part of a project expected to shape the future of child and adolescent psychiatry and contribute with a significant uplift in the treatment offered to children and adolescents with treatment‑demanding psychological challenges.

You will be employed in a small secretariat, where we value influence, trust, integrity and professionalism, and where we work closely together to solve our tasks in the best possible way. We celebrate successes together and pull as a team when there is a need. We have an informal tone of voice, and it is a priority for us to create a safe and inspiring community for all.

We place emphasis on having a good and varied everyday life. There will be opportunities for flexibility and working from home.
