About the job

Do you want a versatile role where you can combine service, planning and responsibility to create a welcoming and memorable experience for the guests?

As Reception Manager at First Camp you will have a central role in operations and help create well-being, structure and quality in everything concerning the guest's stay.

Here, service and administration are combined with planning and work leadership – in a role where no day is the same, and where you have the opportunity to influence both the guest's experience and the team's work.

Who is First Camp? We are part of the First Camp Group, Northern Europe’s leading group in camping and resorts. Together we are on an exciting journey with a clear, shared vision: to create a world-leading camping chain – where we are the first choice for guests, employees and the camping industry in Europe.

We challenge what already exists and create the solutions that do not yet exist. Sustainable development and data-driven insights into our guests and employees are important focus areas as we together create moments of happiness – every day.

What does the role entail? As Reception Manager you are responsible for the daily operations of reception and shop and you are a key person in the destination's leadership team. The role combines operational work with planning, performance management and development – where you both lead the daily work and drive improvements in service, hospitality and sales.

The work includes among other things

  • Lead and distribute the daily work in reception and shop with a focus on service, hospitality and efficient operations.
  • Ensure staffing, quality and a welcoming guest experience from first contact to check-out.
  • Drive upselling and shop work, including product flow, pricing and display.
  • Coach and support seasonal staff in service, ways of working and sales.
  • Responsibility for booking handling, guest communication and simple administration such as reporting and invoicing.
  • Contribute to the destination's commercial goals through sales activities and collaboration regarding corporate customers and occupancy.
  • Actively participate in improvement work and development of routines, service and internal processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Destination Manager and other departments to ensure a well-functioning whole.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for a service-minded and responsible work leader who thrives in a role where operational work is combined with planning, coaching and development. The role suits you who have a natural holistic perspective, take initiative and want to contribute to both people and business developing.

To be successful in the role we would like you to have

  • Experience with reception work, preferably from tourism, hotel or camping.
  • Good administrative understanding and experience with booking systems.
  • Strong IT skills and strong communication abilities in Danish, German and English.
  • Driver's license (category B) and the possibility to use the destination's vehicles in the job.
  • Ability to plan, structure and lead the work.

It is an advantage to have experience in people management, sales or B2B contacts.

As a person you are positive, down-to-earth and solution-oriented – you see opportunities where others see challenges. With a natural sense of service you thrive in encounters with both guests and colleagues and build trust through your engagement. Initiative and responsibility come naturally to you, and you motivate others through collaboration and your effort. Together with your colleagues you contribute to a culture characterized by joy and belonging, where both guests and the team thrive.

What do we offer? With us you become part of an ambitious company with both heart and drive. The role gives you the opportunity to influence, develop and grow – while working closely with both people and business.

Our shared values guide our daily actions

We Care – We work with consideration for the guest, the colleague and the planet. We create an open and supportive environment where we challenge each other, learn from mistakes and celebrate successes.

We Have Fun – By being ourselves and having fun together, we create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone we meet. Together we create good memories for our teams, colleagues and guests.

We Simplify – Momentum, together with the eagerness to learn, means we continually improve and develop the way we work. We make it easy for each other – it should be easy to do the right thing for both colleagues and guests.

We Deliver Results – We focus in everything we do on creating results for our guests, colleagues and the company as a whole. The goals are high, and we succeed best when we use both heart and mind.

We offer a workplace with good development opportunities and caring colleagues who share both experiences and laughs. Together we will continue our journey of success and grow with more leaders who want to help shape the future of First Camp.
