Repost - Can you make numbers make sense and math bring a smile?

Now we have lovely children and a strong team who need you! 😊

We need another skilled and caring teacher with a major in mathematics for our primary years at Søhøj.

In our primary years we have a lot of two-adult hours, and you will become part of a professional learning community consisting of teachers and pedagogues who together work to ensure that the pupils thrive and become as skilled as they can.

At Søhøj we have a vision to create a school that gives our pupils courage for life and a desire to learn more. A school that we are proud of, and that we do not want to leave.

In our school, the view of children is not just a sentence in an educational plan. It is the foundation for everything we do. Based on the slogan "it’s about children" we are seeking a dedicated and academically strong mathematics teacher who is passionate about creating safe, inspiring and developmental learning environments for children in their first year of school.

We are looking for you , who has mathematics as your major, and who is motivated to make mathematics fun, lively, concrete and meaningful for the students. You see teamwork as a strength and are keen to engage in a close and professional collaboration with colleagues, where we together plan, evaluate and develop the teaching with the students' well-being and learning at the center. You will become part of a team that prioritizes community, professional sparring and a curious approach to teaching and pedagogy.

We are organized into self-managing teams, which jointly lift both the teaching task and all the other tasks related to the teaching task. For us this means that we are "Together about the task" .

We prioritise pedagogical discussion and have good opportunities for sparring with our strong mentoring corps, which also facilitates exciting and educational programs in the classrooms.

We are part of Ølstykke School, which consists of two departments: Maglehøj with about 480 pupils and Søhøj with about 560 pupils.

Working conditions: In Egedal Municipality we have a local agreement that ensures good time for preparation. The time for individual preparation is placed within normal working hours, and teachers can move this time to other places than the school. There is a fixed meeting day on Tuesdays until 16:00, and the other working hours can be flexible.
