Respiratory assistant for older music-loving gentlemen, Lejre

Are you the helper with the heart in the right place, and can you also be the "fly on the wall"? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for!

Our citizen lives in their own home together with his wife and their cat. He has a tracheostomy and functional impairments that mean he needs help with most things. He has full speech function, and is therefore good at communicating. And he is very fond of music and has his own "music room".

What the job involves

As a respiratory helper you handle the respiratory monitoring, and are the 2nd helper during transfers in collaboration with the home care service. Our citizen receives respiratory monitoring around the clock.

Respiratory experience is an advantage, but not a requirement. You will have training shifts with the citizen, and subsequently certification through Respirationscenter East, before you work independently.

Your tasks

• Respiratory monitoring and treatment
• To help create security and well-being
• Correct documentation regarding the respiratory aspects

Shifts

The respiratory team works from a 4-week rotation including weekdays, weekends and holidays all year round with both day shifts and night shifts of 12 hours.

Day shifts 6.45 AM - 7.00 PM

Night shifts 6.45 PM - 7.00 AM

We offer on average 12 hours per week on mixed day and night shifts.

The shifts are distributed as follows;

Week 1: Monday night, Wednesday day

Week 2: Tuesday night, Wednesday night

Week 3: Fri

Week 4: Fri

The position is ideal for you if you are for example studying or want to supplement your current working time.

The team is self-sufficient in case of illness and holidays, and as a respiratory helper you bear a special responsibility for the citizen who relies on your help. Therefore it is expected that our new employee is flexible and willing to participate in the collaboration to cover vacant shifts.

• is not health-care trained , but motivated to make a difference
• treats others with respect
• has experience in working with people, and can work independently
• is stable and punctual
• will be part of a team that works together to create as much continuity in the arrangement as possible
• is flexible and can step in when a colleague is sick or on vacation

Own car is a prerequisite, as public transport options in the area are insufficient.
