Do you want to lead risk management in Denmark's most value-driven bank?

At Merkur Andelskasse we are seeking a risk officer who will combine strong professional expertise with a desire to create positive societal value. You will have a central role close to the executive management, the board and the audit and risk committee, where you help ensure that Merkur develops responsibly and on a solid risk-based foundation.

Our current risk officer has been given new opportunities, and therefore you now have the chance to step into one of the bank's most central functions.

The position is located in Copenhagen.

What will you do with us?

As the risk officer, you will have the overall responsibility for Merkur's risk management. You must ensure that the bank identifies, assesses, manages and reports its principal risks, while you contribute to the strategic development of the area.

Your key tasks will be to

• create an overarching view of Merkur's risk exposures and assess whether risk management is reassuring and adequate
• conduct analyses, investigations and sampling and translate insights into decision-relevant reporting
• identify and monitor significant risks across the organization
• report continuously to the management and the board on the bank's principal risks
• facilitate the dialogue about risks at board meetings
• support the work of the audit and risk committee, including preparing meeting materials and coordinating with the chair of the committee
• contribute to other strategic initiatives that are compatible with the role as risk officer.

We are around 140 employees spread across our offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg and Lyngby. We would like you to quickly gain insight into the entire business and build relationships across the organization. This provides the best foundation for qualified assessments and strong analyses.

A role with great influence

You report to our vice president and will become an important sparring partner for both management and the board.

You will present your analyses and reports at board meetings and play a central role in the collaboration with the audit and risk committee. The role thus gives you a unique opportunity to influence decisions across the entire organization and set the direction for Merkur's risk management.

You will be part of a well-functioning team with high professionalism, strong collaboration and an informal tone. As the risk officer, you should be able to encompass the strategic, tactical and operational part of risk management, but there will be help with some of the more operational aspects.

The position can be 30 hours per week. If you want more hours, there will be opportunities to contribute to other strategic tasks in the organization.
