Road Engineer and Project Manager for Road and Path Projects

Do you want to lead road and cycle path projects that create safe roads, good path connections and well-functioning infrastructure in Syddjurs Municipality?

We are seeking a strong road-technical project manager who can carry out construction projects from the initial investigations to execution and handover.

You will become part of Construction and play a central role close to both decisions and the finished solutions of road and path projects.

YOUR TASKS

Your main tasks will be to

• lead road and path projects through the entire project process
• manage economy, time, quality and risks
• prepare tender materials and conduct tenders
• contract with and coordinate consultants, contractors, utility companies and authorities
• ensure traffic safety, accessibility and relevant legislation are included in the solutions
• communicate with residents, landowners and other stakeholders
• prepare professional decision grounds and contribute to political matters.

YOUR PROFILE

You have a relevant technical education, preferably as highway, traffic or civil engineering graduate. You may also have another technical background combined with solid experience from the road or construction sector.

We emphasize that you

• have experience with project management of construction projects
• work in a structured way and take responsibility for progress
• have good technical understanding
• can translate technical and legal requirements into practical solutions
• can communicate clearly with professionals, citizens and partners
• can contribute to professional sparring and knowledge sharing
• have experience with road legislation.

The position includes meetings and site visits in the municipality, and you must therefore have a valid driver's license for passenger cars, category B.

WHO ARE WE

You will become part of Construction, which carries out building projects, road- and path projects as well as land development. We work closely with among others Mobility & Area Management, Properties, Planning & Development, Nature & Environment and Syddjurs Municipality’s other departments.

The Construction department consists of thirteen professionally skilled colleagues and project managers.
