At Røde Kors Hjemmet we seek engaged and professionally strong social- and health care assistants for day shifts. The positions are primarily day shifts with work every 2nd weekend or every 3rd weekend. With us we work based on the values of well-being, presence, respect, joy and inclusivity, which form the foundation for our vision of The good life for residents, relatives, volunteers and staff.

About Red Cross Home

Røde Kors Hjemmet consists of 61 nursing home apartments, of which 6 apartments are for residents with dementia. In addition we have 7 apartments for residents with special needs for social-pedagogical support and care, an active day center and a reception kitchen.

We are a self-governing institution with a management agreement with Sorø Municipality, with whom we have a close and well-functioning collaboration.

Your core tasks

• Perform and coordinate nursing-technical tasks
• Holistic care, support and documentation
• Contribute to residents’ quality of life, dignity and self-determination
• Create safety, structure and presence in everyday life
• Collaborate across disciplines with colleagues, relatives and partners
• Contribute to professional development and knowledge sharing in the house
• Help create meaningful activities and communities for residents
• Actively contribute to the rehabilitative approach

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a social- and health care assistant
• Wants to work with older people and preferably has experience with dementia
• Meets people with respect, empathy and recognition
• Works independently and at the same time is a strong team player
• Is professionally curious and wants to develop yourself
• Has experience with or interest in health-related documentation
• Has a good sense of humor and contributes positively to the working environment
• Can actively engage in relationship-building with focus on each resident’s life story and wishes

Working hours are arranged according to preference.

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement, and Sorø Municipality conducts a criminal record check as part of the employment process.
