About the job
Would you like to help open Rogerz's first store on Funen and play a central role in building a brand new team?
Rogerz continues our growth journey, and in the first quarter of 2027 we will open the doors to our new store in Odense!
Therefore we are looking for a dedicated, ambitious and responsible Assistant Store Manager , who together with our upcoming Store Manager will help create a successful store opening and build a strong team from scratch.
We are looking for a person who is passionate about sales, customer service and people, and who wants to take the next step in their retail career.
Here you get a unique opportunity to be involved from the very beginning and leave your mark on a new store in a company with strong growth ambitions.
Who is Rogerz?
Rogerz is one of the Nordics’ fastest-growing companies in TCG, sports cards and collectibles.
We specialize in collectible cards, accessories and collectibles from, among others, Pokémon, One Piece, Topps, Riftbound, Disney, Star Wars, Magic: The Gathering and much more.
We are collectors and enthusiasts to the bone, and we love that we can work with our hobby and passion every day.
From collectors, for collectors.
With stores in Field's, Rødovre Centrum and Lyngby Storcenter, we are now continuing our expansion with a brand new store in Odense.
Our ambition is to create a natural meeting point for both new and experienced collectors on Funen, where community, high product knowledge and extraordinary customer service are the foundation for everything we do.
To realize this ambition, we are now seeking the right Assistant Store Manager, who together with the Store Manager will help build, run and develop our new store.
Your role as Assistant Store Manager
As Assistant Store Manager you will be a central part of the store's management team and function as the Store Manager's right hand.
You will have an active role in both the establishment and the subsequent operation of the store, where you, together with the Store Manager, must ensure that we create a strong foundation for our new department in Odense.
The special thing about this position is that you are coming in from the very start.
You will have the opportunity to help shape the store's culture, contribute to training new colleagues and ensure that our high standards for sales, customer service and operations become a natural part of everyday life from the first opening day.
When the store is open, you will be an important driving force in daily operations and responsible for ensuring that both employees, customers and results develop in the right direction.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Actively participate in the establishment, preparation and opening of our new store in Odense.
- Support the Store Manager in the daily management and operation of the store.
- Help build a strong team and a positive employee culture from the outset.
- Ensure that we as a team deliver an extraordinary and consistent customer experience.
- Motivate, coach and develop employees in daily operations.
- Train employees in sales, customer service, upselling and product knowledge.
- Contribute to recruiting, onboarding and training of new employees.
- Monitor store turnover, KPIs and other sales results.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing optimization in close collaboration with the Store Manager.
- Ensure that the store's procedures, standards and guidelines are followed.
- Actively work on optimizing the store's operations, productivity and commercial results.
- Contribute ideas for new initiatives, events and concepts that can strengthen the store's development.
- Take full responsibility for daily operations and leadership of the store when the Store Manager is not present.
In short, you will be an important part of Rogerz's foundation in Odense.
You will help ensure the store gets off to a good start, that employees develop, and that our customers have an experience that makes them want to visit us again and again.
Who are you?
We imagine that you already have experience from retail and preferably from a role where you have had responsibility for other employees or helped ensure daily operation.
You may today work as an Assistant Store Manager, supervisor, team leader, key holder or as an experienced salesperson who is ready to take the next step in your career.
The most important for us is that you have the right attitude, take responsibility and have ambitions to develop as a leader.
You thrive being close to both customers and colleagues, and you understand that good results are created through collaboration, commitment and clear leadership.
We especially emphasize that you
- Have solid experience with sales and customer service, preferably from retail.
- Have experience with or interest in personnel management and employee development.
- Are motivated by achieving results through other people.
- Thrives with responsibility and can keep an overview in a busy store.
- Work in a structured manner and follow your tasks through to completion.
- Have a commercial understanding and interest in sales figures, KPIs and performance.
- Are visible, engaged and active on the shop floor.
- Lead by example and set high standards for yourself and the quality of your work.
- Are independent, proactive and solution-oriented.
- Are a strong team player who contributes positively to the work environment.
- Thrives in a daily life with development, change and new challenges.
- Have ambitions to develop yourself both personally and in leadership.
It would be an advantage if you have previously been involved in opening a new store or have experience with training and developing new employees.
Interest in TCG, sports cards and collectibles is naturally a big plus, but not a requirement.
You do not need to be an expert in Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering or One Piece when you start.
However, we expect you to be curious, engaged and eager to learn the products and the world that our customers and employees are enthusiastic about.
For us, the right personal and leadership qualities are at least as important as product knowledge.
What do we offer?
At Rogerz you will become part of a growing company where ambitions are high, decision-making is quick, and where you have the opportunity to make a real difference.
As Assistant Store Manager in Odense, you will not only be part of a new store. You will have the opportunity to help create it.
You will work closely with the Store Manager and the company's other management, and you will have a central role in building a store culture where employees thrive, customers feel welcome, and results speak for themselves.
We offer among other things
- An exciting leadership role in a company with strong growth ambitions.
- A unique opportunity to help open and establish a brand new store.
- Opportunity to contribute to building a new team and a strong employee culture.
- Real influence on the store's daily operations, development and results.
- Close collaboration with the Store Manager and the company's other management.
- Good opportunities for personal, professional and leadership development.
- A varied daily life with responsibility, exciting challenges and the chance to make a difference.
- A work environment characterized by engagement, camaraderie and a shared passion for TCG and collectibles.
We place a high value on a good and healthy work environment.
And yes, many companies say this in their job postings, but at Rogerz we actually believe that we have fun and enjoy ourselves together.
We believe that a strong sense of community, mutual respect and a shared passion help create the best conditions for both our employees and customers.
At the same time we are a company where there is room for ambition. If you have the desire and ability to develop as a leader, we want to give you the opportunity to grow with us.
