About the job

Do you want to lead the opening of Rogerz's first store on Funen?

Rogerz continues our growth journey, and in the first quarter of 2027 we will open the doors to our new store in Odense!

Therefore we are looking for an experienced, ambitious and engaged Store Manager , who will play a central role in the establishment and subsequent operation of our new store.

We are looking for a strong retail profile who is motivated by people, leadership and results, and who wants to help build a store and a team from the ground up.

Who is Rogerz?

Rogerz is one of the fastest-growing companies in the Nordic region within TCG, sports cards and collectibles.

We specialize in trading cards, accessories and collectibles from, among others, Pokémon, One Piece, Topps, Disney, Star Wars, Magic: The Gathering, Riftbound and many more.

We are collectors and enthusiasts to the core, and the passion for the products and the environment is a major part of our culture.

From collectors, for collectors.

With stores in Field's, Rødovre Centrum and Lyngby Storcenter we now continue our expansion with a new store in Odense.

The ambition is to create a store that becomes a natural gathering point for both new and experienced collectors on Funen, where product knowledge, community and an extraordinary customer experience go hand in hand.

Your role as Store Manager

As Store Manager you will have overall responsibility for the store's staff, daily operations and commercial results.

But this position is something special.

You will have the opportunity to be involved from the very beginning and play a decisive role in the establishment of our new store.

In the period leading up to the opening you will work in close collaboration with the company's management to build your team, implement our standards and procedures and ensure that the store is ready to deliver a fantastic customer experience from day one of opening.

After the opening it will be your responsibility to ensure a well-run, profitable and successful store with a strong team that delivers on Rogerz's ambitions every day.

Your primary responsibilities will include

  • Actively participate in the establishment and preparation of our new store in Odense.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop your own store team.
  • Ensure a successful store opening and create a strong foundation for future operations.
  • Manage daily leadership and store operations with full personnel responsibility.
  • Develop and continuously optimize shift plans focusing on staffing, productivity and payroll costs.
  • Train, coach and develop employees in sales, customer service and product knowledge.
  • Ensure a high, professional and consistent customer experience in line with Rogerz's standards.
  • Work structurally with the store's KPIs, revenue, sales targets and other results.
  • Ensure compliance with the store's payroll, staffing and operating budgets.
  • Work targeted with sales development, upselling and commercial initiatives.
  • Ensure that the company's procedures, safety standards and guidelines are followed.
  • Actively contribute to the development of new initiatives, events and concepts in collaboration with the company's management.

In short, you will be responsible for building a store from the ground up, creating a strong and motivated team and ensuring that Rogerz gets the best possible start in Odense.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have solid retail experience, preferably from a similar leadership role where you have had responsibility for both employees, operations and commercial results.

You are a leader who thrives with responsibility, works structurally and manages to deliver results through your employees.

You know that a successful store requires more than good sales figures. It requires strong leadership, clear expectations, engaged staff and a customer experience that makes customers want to return.

We particularly value that you

  • Have documented experience in personnel management within retail.
  • Have experience with recruitment, onboarding and development of employees.
  • Have strong skills in shift planning, staffing optimization and cost control.
  • Are used to working with KPIs, sales figures, budgets and performance in a targeted way.
  • Have a commercial mindset and the ability to translate analyses and results into concrete actions.
  • Are a visible, present and motivating leader who leads from the front on the shop floor.
  • Work structurally and can create an overview in a busy and changing daily life.
  • Have a high ambition level and take ownership of both your employees' development and the store's results.
  • Are independent, solution-oriented and good at following your initiatives through to the end.
  • Thrive in a growth-oriented company where development and change are a natural part of daily life.

It would be an advantage if you have previously been involved in opening a new store or have experience building and developing a new team.

Knowledge of TCG and collectibles is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You don't need to know the difference between a Pokémon Booster Box and a Topps Hobby Box when you start.

On the other hand, we expect you to be curious, eager to learn and enthusiastic about diving into the products and the universe that our customers and employees are passionate about.

For us, it is more important to find the right leader with the right skills and values than an experienced collector without leadership experience.

What do we offer?

At Rogerz you will become part of an ambitious, fast-growing company where you have a real opportunity to influence both your own store and the development of our retail organization.

We offer, among other things

  • An exciting leadership position with full responsibility for our new store in Odense.
  • A unique opportunity to help establish a completely new store and build your own team.
  • Significant influence on the store's daily operations, development and commercial results.
  • Close collaboration with the company's top management and owner circle.
  • Short decision paths and the ability to quickly translate ideas into action.
  • An workplace with a strong sense of community, high energy and a shared passion for our products.
  • Opportunity for personal and professional development in line with the company’s continued growth.
  • An working environment where initiative, accountability and good results are valued.

We believe that skilled leaders create skilled employees, and that engaged employees create the best customer experiences.

Therefore you will get both responsibility, trust and the opportunity to develop yourself as a leader with us.
