The job

The rural zone team currently consists of 3 employees, who work closely with our building case team and the other departments in the Center for Town and Landscape. You will become part of a strong professional and social community, where we consult with each other, share knowledge and together find solutions to exciting and complex tasks. You will, together with your colleagues, primarily be responsible for case processing of cases in the open countryside.

The core task is authority processing of rural zone cases, where you will need to assess whether a project can be realized in accordance with the Planning Act and the Nature Protection Act.

Depending on your competencies and interests, you will have the opportunity to deepen yourself in several of our case areas and develop yourself both professionally and personally.

Your primary tasks will be

• Rural zone cases
• Cases concerning building and protection lines, protected areas, earth and stone fences, piers and boat docks, afforestation, trails in the open countryside and camping regulations
• Screening under the Environmental Impact Assessment Act

We imagine that you

• Have a relevant education in physical planning or management of the open countryside. This could be, for example, as a landscape architect, forest and landscape engineer, surveyor, geologist – or another relevant educational background
• We do not require a specific education title, but emphasize the overall match between your professional competencies, interests and personal qualities
• Have knowledge of planning and building legislation, including rural zone provisions
• Can see yourself in the role of an authority that makes decisions
• Are good at written and oral communication
• Thrive with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

In addition, it is an advantage if you

• Have experience with rural zone and building case processing
• Have knowledge of the Nature Protection Act, landscape protections and access rules in nature
• Have knowledge of landscape analysis and terrain regulation
• Are familiar with relevant IT systems – such as SBSYS and QGIS
• Have experience with authority work in a politically governed organization

Your upcoming workplace

Building and rural zones sit together in one place with 2-4 person offices and we are located at Kongensgade 18 in Slangerup. It is less than a 5-minute walk from the bus station, where there are several good connections with public transport. There is the possibility of occasional homeworking days by agreement. We have a very good canteen where you can buy meals at a reasonable price.
