About the job
Our skilled maternity-cover has been made permanent, and we are therefore seeking a new colleague for a meaningful maternity-leave position in authority work with assistive devices.
In the Municipality of Herlev you get a unique opportunity to become part of an ambitious authority department with high social capital. Professionally, you will have an exciting and varied job where you themselves help plan their workday, develop your professional competencies in assistive device mediation, and share substantial responsibility in the joint cross-disciplinary task solving.
We make a difference for citizens with high professionalism and good collaboration
The department is responsible for providing guidance, conducting functional assessments and case processing regarding applications for assistive devices, consumables, support for purchasing a car and home modifications in accordance with the provisions of the Social Services Act. In addition, the team handles APV- aids, elderly- and disability-friendly housing, as well as handicap driving responsibilities.
We process cases from a holistic and rehabilitative approach in collaboration with citizens, relatives and cross-disciplinary partners, so the citizen experiences a coordinated and holistic effort. To support case processing, we use Common Language III and the care system Nexus.
Daily work is a combination of home visits to citizens and administrative case processing, as well as managing our Quick Service and Front-function, which handles all acute inquiries from citizens, relatives and partners. Task planning is done in close collaboration with the rest of the team.
It is important for us that you
- Have a relevant health professional education (occupational therapist or physiotherapist) and ideally experience from the public sector as a case-processing therapist or assessor - perhaps both.
- Have relevant practical experience with assistive devices, e.g. in granting or in connection with rehabilitation efforts.
- Are balanced with your therapeutic competencies and can exercise authority in the authority role
- Are skilled in legal interpretation, both in the areas handled in the Assistive Device Department, but also in other areas that can contribute to an overall holistic plan for the citizen.
- Are development-oriented with a systematic and structured approach to authority tasks and the cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Are capable of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and can take responsibility in complex case processes.
- Have good communication and collaboration skills so you can build good relationships in meetings with citizens, relatives and not least partners.
- Have good presentation skills, as well as flair and experience as an IT user - it is an advantage if you are familiar with documentation in KMD Nexus.
As a person, you are positive, curious and with a smile on your lips. You have a willingness to change that benefits our citizens and partners, just as you are motivated to independently seek new knowledge for use in concrete case processes, both regarding assistive devices and legislation.
We offer
- A dynamic and flexible workplace with ongoing planning of the workweek and the workday.
- Committed and professionally competent colleagues who value shared learning and mutual sparring highly.
- An exciting job with a high degree of independent responsibility and competence.
- An working environment where the shared responsibility for the core task is highly valued.
A laptop and mobile phone will be provided.
