About the job

Our skilled maternity leave replacement has been made permanent, and we are therefore seeking a new colleague for a meaningful maternity leave position in authority work with assistive devices.

In Herlev Municipality you get a unique opportunity to become part of an ambitious authority department with high social capital. Professionally, you will have an exciting and varied job where you help plan your own workday, develop your professional competencies in assistive device mediation, and take on shared responsibility in the joint cross-disciplinary task solving.

We make a difference for citizens with high professional standards and good collaboration

The department is responsible for providing guidance, carrying out functional assessments and case processing regarding applications for assistive devices, consumables, support for purchase of car and home modifications in accordance with the Social Services Act provisions. In addition, the team visits for APV aids, senior- and disability-friendly housing, as well as disability transport.

We handle cases from a holistic and rehabilitative approach in collaboration with citizens, relatives and cross-disciplinary partners, so the citizen experiences a coordinated and holistic effort. To support case processing, we use Common Language III and the Nexus care system.

The daily work is a combination of home visits to citizens and administrative case processing, as well as handling our Quick Service and Front-function, which handles all urgent inquiries from citizens, relatives and partners. The planning of tasks is done in close cooperation with the rest of the team.

It is important for us that you

  • Have a relevant health professional education (occupational therapist or physiotherapist) and preferably experience from the authority area as a case-handling therapist or assessor - perhaps both.
  • Have relevant practical experience with assistive devices, e.g., in connection with grant decisions or rehabilitation efforts.
  • Are in balance with your therapeutic competencies and can demonstrate authority in the authority role
  • Are skilled in legal interpretation, both in the areas handled by the Assistive Devices Department, but also in other areas that can contribute to a complete holistic plan for the citizen.
  • Are development-oriented with a systematic and structured approach to authority tasks and interprofessional collaboration.
  • Are able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and can take responsibility in complex case processes.
  • Have good communication and collaboration skills, so you can build good relationships when meeting citizens, relatives and not least partners.
  • Have good communication skills, as well as flair and experience as an IT user – it is an advantage if you have knowledge of documentation in KMD Nexus.

As a person you are positive, curious and with a smile on your face. You have change readiness that benefits our citizens and partners, just as you are motivated to independently seek new knowledge for use in concrete case processes, both regarding assistive devices and legislation.

We offer

  • A dynamic and flexible workplace with ongoing planning of the work week and workday.
  • Dedicated and professionally competent colleagues who place high value on shared learning and mutual sparring.
  • An exciting job with a high degree of independent responsibility and competence.
  • An working environment where the shared responsibility for the core task is valued highly.

A laptop and mobile phone are provided.
