About the job
Do you have a grasp of law, numbers, and people? And are you keen to be part of a team where we help each other and go the extra mile for good case handling? Then it may be you we are looking for.
We are seeking a caseworker for a maternity leave vacancy of 37 hours per week with starting date 1 December 2026.
Who are we?
You will become part of Team Benefits in the Center for Citizens & Employment, where we are 14 employees with different professional backgrounds and tasks. We work every day to ensure that citizens receive the benefits they are entitled to – and that the case handling is correct, understandable, and proper.
We know that working with benefits requires professionalism, structure and an eye for the individual citizen. Therefore, we place emphasis on collaborating, sharing knowledge and helping each other when a case is complex, or when an extra pair of eyes is needed.
In our meetings with citizens we base our approach on Stevns Municipality’s Code of Citizen Service. For us it is about trust, competent case handling, follow-up and a welcoming dialogue.
What will you be doing?
As a caseworker your primary tasks will be
- case processing and payment of benefits under the Social Services Act – including cash assistance and single benefits
- advising and guiding citizens about their financial options
- follow-up and control to ensure correct payouts
- ongoing task handling from KY
- collaboration with colleagues and other professional areas to find good and coherent solutions for citizens
- various ad hoc tasks that naturally arise in a busy everyday life
You will of course receive a thorough introduction to the tasks, and we do not expect you to know it all from day one.
Who are you?
We imagine that you
- have a relevant education and preferably experience with the benefits area and KY
- have an interest in legislation and a desire to stay professionally updated
- work in a structured manner and can maintain an overview, even when several balls are in the air
- can work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
- are good at collaborating and actively contribute to the community
- communicate clearly and respectfully with citizens in different life situations
- want to be part of a workplace where we take our professionalism and one another seriously
The most important for us is not that you can tick off everything. We are looking for a colleague who is keen on the tasks, takes responsibility, and wants to learn and develop together with us.
What do you get with us?
With us you get
- an exciting and versatile maternity vacancy where you come close to both citizens, legislation and colleagues
- a professional community where we help each other and share knowledge
- a workday with both fixed tasks and room for days that don’t always go exactly as planned
- the possibility of flex-time and remote work
- focus on a good balance between work life and leisure
- health insurance
- membership of an active staff association with various events
And you will also get colleagues who enjoy keeping on top of the regulations and who enjoy getting along in daily life.
