Sct. Jørgens School in Roskilde seeks a teacher with creative abilities

Are you our new colleague who will help make a fantastic school even better?

We are looking for a teacher who knows how a safe learning community is created, and understands how to accommodate students' diversity – their academic, social and personal needs.

We envision that you are a trained teacher in Crafts and Design or have equivalent competences within the subject. We also imagine that you want to develop the subject and help set the direction of our school.

In addition, it would be helpful for us if you can teach Danish as a second language, music and/or visual arts, but for everyone it is not a must.

Team collaboration

• Teachers and educators are organized into teams around one or more year groups and subjects.
• In the team, work on the children's learning and well-being is discussed and determined, as well as how the team will achieve the results/goals set based on the annual plan.
• The team is a base for reflection and sparring with a focus on remaining academically qualified and engaged educators by strengthening the debate on subject knowledge, teaching methods, teaching materials and the children's learning.
• Well-being and relationships are another important focus area for the team. The goal is that all children and adults thrive and experience good relationships.

Sct. Jørgens School is a school with about 600 students, 55 teachers and 20 educators.

The municipality's personnel policy is characterized by being value-based, where ambition, job satisfaction and responsibility are keywords.

We are organized into two main departments: grades 0-5 and 6-9. Each teacher generally teaches within the department to which they are attached.

We envisage the position as full-time, but a part-time arrangement can also be agreed.

We wish the position to be filled no later than December 1, 2026.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the current collective agreement. Upon employment, we will obtain child and criminal records checks as well as references.
