SECURITY TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Esbjerg Havn seeks a technically proficient and security-conscious Security Technology Officer who will help develop, operate and maintain the systems that protect one of Denmark's leading commercial harbours.

As Security Technology Officer you will be responsible for Esbjerg Port's physical security systems and become part of the security team in the Security and Technology department. You will also work closely with external suppliers, emergency authorities and public authorities.

The position combines security, operational technology and security engineering solutions. You will play an important role in ensuring that our security systems remain reliable, effective and meet the requirements for modern critical infrastructure.

The position includes both office work and practical tasks around the harbour area.

Your responsibilities

You will, among other things, work with

• Port control and technological solutions for perimeter security
• Visitor management and access control systems
• Security-related drone operations
• Planning and implementation of new security technology projects
• Maintenance of technical documentation, system overviews and configuration data

Qualifications

We are looking for an independent, technically oriented and service-minded person who thrives on working with both technology and people. You have a practical approach to troubleshooting and are able to work independently, while also coordinating effectively with colleagues, management, authorities and external suppliers.

In addition, we expect that you have

• Relevant education or professional experience within security technology, electronics, IT, automation or a related technical field
• Experience with electronic security systems
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and network-related issues
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure configuration of systems
• Ability to document technical systems and communicate technical issues clearly and understandably
• Good English skills
• Knowledge of the ISPS code
• Ability to obtain security clearance

It is advantageous if you have relevant technical certifications or training in networking, cybersecurity, physical security or security technology.

Military or police background is also an advantage.
