Job Description

Do you have solid experience with soil and groundwater contamination? Are you motivated to lead complex and cross-disciplinary environmental projects that create value for both clients and society? And do you want to help develop the professional expertise and sustainable advisory services in a nationwide department?

At Ramboll we are seeking a senior project manager / senior advisor who will combine strong technical expertise with project management, client advisory, and business development.

About the job

As a senior project manager/senior advisor you will take a central professional and commercial role in Ramboll’s nationwide department for soil, groundwater and building contamination. The department consists of about 65 skilled colleagues with diverse professional backgrounds, including engineers, biologists, geologists and technicians.

The department is spread across seven offices and four geographic teams. You will become part of a strong professional environment where you will have the opportunity to take responsibility, influence professional development and collaborate closely with capable colleagues across the country.

We work broadly with soil management, contamination investigations, risk assessments, monitoring, remediation of soil contamination, development projects, selective demolition and building contamination. We also offer Environmental Due Diligence cases, including environmental assessments in connection with the purchase and sale of properties.

Projects range from remediation programs and method development to complex contamination cases with significant societal impact. We work, among other things, with environmental technical preliminary investigations for large urban development projects, cleanup operations as well as risk assessments related to pesticides, chlorinated solvents, landfill gas and PFAS.

There is also an opportunity to work with strategically sustainable soil management across Ramboll and in collaboration with Envidan’s water specialists. In the building contamination area we work on some of the country’s largest environmental mapping and demolition projects.

Your responsibilities

As a senior project manager/senior advisor you will, among other things, be responsible for:

  • Leading complex environmental projects from planning to execution.
  • Ensuring high professional quality in investigations, risk assessments, monitoring, remediation solutions and reporting.
  • Advising clients on soil and groundwater contamination as well as sustainable solution options.
  • Translating complex data, field results and authorities’ requirements into clear professional assessments and concrete recommendations.
  • Contributing to bid work, client relations and business development.
  • Contributing to professional development, knowledge sharing and quality assurance across the organization.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovative solutions and sustainable soil management.

About you

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant higher education, for example in geology, biology, environmental chemistry or a related field.
  • Have solid experience with consulting on environmental projects and soil- and groundwater contamination.
  • Have experience with contamination investigations, risk assessments, monitoring and remediation solutions.
  • Have strong competencies in project management, planning and financial management.
  • Have knowledge of Danish environmental regulation and authorities’ processes.
  • Can translate complex data, field results and authorities’ requirements into clear professional assessments and usable recommendations.
  • Have good communication skills in Danish and English and can set direction, motivate others and collaborate across disciplines.

It would be advantageous if you also have experience with bid work, framework agreements, client dialogue and quality assurance of reports and other professional materials.

We offer

At Ramboll you will have

  • A clear professional and commercial role with influence on professional development, quality, bid work and client relations.
  • Complex and societally relevant projects with clear impact for clients, the environment and society.
  • Opportunity to work with sustainable soil management and development of soil strategies.
  • A strong professional environment with good opportunities for sparring, knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • A nationwide network of specialists and opportunity for collaboration across Ramboll and EnviDan.
  • Flexible working arrangements with the possibility of hybrid work.
