Service Assistant for TEC – help make everyday life run smoothly

Then a trainee position at TEC Technical Education Copenhagen could be for you.

We are looking for a service apprentice with start on 1 February 2027.

The position is full-time, 37 hours per week, and you will be employed as an apprentice with a view to completing the education as a service assistant with a specialization in corporate services.

About the education

As a service apprentice you will be trained in a wide range of practical service tasks that help a workplace function in everyday life.

The education alternates between training at TEC and classroom study. You gain experience with professional cleaning, hygiene, meeting service, light catering, practical service tasks and the daily operation at a workplace.

The education for service assistant with a specialization in corporate services typically lasts up to 2½ years. This corresponds to step 1 as a cleaning technician and the final ½ year with a specialization in corporate services. The final duration depends on your education plan and any prior meritorious experience.

As a pupil at TEC you get the opportunity to learn the trade in practice at a workplace where service, responsibility and collaboration are an important part of everyday life.

About the job

As a service apprentice at TEC you become part of our service area and take on a practical role in the daily operation across the school's addresses.

A significant part of your daily work will revolve around our coffee machines. And yes, coffee is important at a large workplace ☕.

You help ensure that the machines appear clean, well-functioning, stocked and inviting for students, course participants and staff. At the same time you learn to work systematically with hygiene, restocking, quality and maintenance.

But the job is not only about coffee machines. You will also solve a number of other practical service tasks and thus gain a broad insight into how to make daily life run smoothly at a large educational institution.

Your tasks will include

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of coffee machines
• Restocking of coffee, milk, cocoa and related products
• Ensuring order, hygiene and general maintenance of machines and equipment
• Practical service tasks in connection with meetings, common areas and daily operations
• Easier tasks with plating, tidying and preparation
• Travel between TEC addresses
• Ad hoc tasks and assistance where needed

You will become part of a service community where we help each other, take responsibility and step in when needed. At the same time you must be able to work independently and take responsibility for ensuring your tasks are completed.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who wants to take a practical vocational education and learn the service trade from the ground up.

You thrive with having tasks to hand, and you like a day where you are active and meet many different people.

You do not need to have experience from similar work. However, it is important to us that you are reliable, can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. We must be able to count on you, and you must be eager to learn.

We imagine that you

• Have a valid category B driving license – this is a requirement
• Are reliable and take responsibility for your tasks
• Can work independently and get the tasks done
• Are keen on practical work and service tasks
• Are service-minded and meet others in a proper and positive way
• Have an eye for order, hygiene and details
• Can collaborate and be part of a team
• Are flexible and ready to help where needed

A driving license is necessary because you must be able to drive between TECs different addresses during the workday.

In short: You don have to be able to do everything from the start. But you must show up, take responsibility, be eager to learn and be ready to make things happen.

Salary and terms

The position is a full-time apprentice, 37 hours per week.

You will be employed on 1 February 2027 with the aim of completing the education as a service assistant with a specialization in corporate services.

The employment follows the duration of the education and is determined in the final education agreement. For an apprentice without prior merit the education agreement will as a rule run up to 2½ years, corresponding to the education towards a service assistant with a specialization in corporate services.

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement and the rules for apprentices.

The workplace will be across TECs addresses, based at one of our locations.
