About the job

Would you like to combine independent clinical work with a central role in the team's daily coordination and development? Do you thrive on creating an overview, making collaboration work and helping to find good solutions in a busy everyday life?

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for!

We are seeking a nurse with a team coordinator function for Team 4 – Team for patients with cognitive impairment in Clinic 1, Psychiatry in Skejby.

The position combines clinical work as a nurse with a coordinating function corresponding to approximately 12 hours per week. A substantial part of the position will be direct patient work with your own patient pathways, and in addition you will be an important player in the daily organization of the team's work and have the opportunity to contribute to both professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration and a well-functioning everyday life for patients and colleagues.

A specialized team with exciting nursing tasks

With us you meet a patient group that requires both psychiatric expertise, curiosity and the ability to adapt nursing to the individual.

We diagnose and treat patients with oligophrenia and concomitant psychiatric illness from the entire Region of Central Jutland, as well as patients with organic mental illness and dementia. The majority of your patient pathways will be with patients with oligophrenia and concomitant psychiatric illness, where communication, treatment and nursing efforts must be adapted to the individual's cognitive prerequisites and life situation.

Your clinical work includes, among other things, supportive and guiding conversations, psychoeducation, follow-up on medical treatment, relapse prevention and collaboration with relatives.

Patient contact takes place both at the hospital, in the patients' own homes and in municipal and regional residential facilities. The work therefore involves close collaboration with relatives and other partners and provides an opportunity to work holistically with the patients' treatment.

The team consists of 4 consultants, 2 neuropsychologists, 1 special psychologist and 10 nurses, of which two work from Gødstrup and cover the western part of the region. In addition, there is a social worker attached. We are a team where we support each other, and where we prioritise professional sparring, collaboration and a good physical and psychological working environment. We work independently, but help each other and use each other’s expertise across.

What does the team coordinator function involve?

As team coordinator you become an important player in the daily operations and a link between the team’s staff and management. You must help create an overview, ensure coherence in tasks and support well-functioning interdisciplinary collaboration.

Your tasks will include, among other things

● coordinate the daily planning, prioritization and distribution of tasks and patient pathways

● ensure overview and contribute to appropriate resource allocation, including during illness and absence

● support collaboration and communication in the team and across professional groups

● collaborate closely with management on the daily operations and development of the team

● contribute to quality development, improvement work and implementation of new workflows and professional initiatives.

You get a position with both responsibility and influence, where you must be able to take initiative, prioritise and find solutions in collaboration with others. The role does not include personnel responsibility.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a nurse with experience in psychiatry, preferably from outpatient treatment, and with a desire to combine clinical work with a coordinating function. You do not need to have previously been a team coordinator. The most important is that you have a holistic outlook, thrive with responsibility and want to contribute to the team’s joint tackling of tasks.

We emphasise that you

● work independently and in a structured way and can keep an overview, even when daily life changes

● are proactive, can prioritise and make decisions

● have good collaboration and communication skills and can create buy-in through dialogue and inclusion

● are curious about development and have a constructive and solution-oriented approach to the tasks.

Experience with oligophrenia is not a prerequisite, but we expect that you have an interest in the patient group and a desire to develop your professional skills together with us.

A driving licence is a requirement, as part of the patient work takes place outside the hospital. We use the region's cars and also have electric bikes available.

What can we offer you?

Here you will have the opportunity to combine clinical nursing with a coordinating function, where you have influence on the team’s daily organization and development.

We offer

● about 12 hours per week for the team coordinator function

● close collaboration and sparring with both colleagues and management

● a mentoring scheme and introduction tailored to your needs

● supervision and the possibility for nursing professional guidance

● good opportunities for competence development and continuing education

● great influence on planning your workday and your own calendar

● the possibility of flexibility and one weekly home-working day after completion of training

● an interdisciplinary work environment with a focus on professionalism, collaboration and well-being.
