About the job

Social and Health Assistant for permanent evening shift at Plejecenter Skovvang, somatic department.

Do you want to help create safe and meaningful everyday lives for people with different needs and life histories?

Plejecenter Skovvang is seeking as of January 1, 2027 a social- and health assistant for a fixed evening shift, 28 hours per week with the possibility of full-time.

With us, residents are the central focus of everything we do. We work from a person-centered approach, where the individual resident's wishes, needs, resources and life history form the basis for care and support. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who is motivated to build relationships, show presence and meet people with respect and professionalism.

Plejecenter Skovvang is one of Allerød Municipality's four nursing homes and consists of 60 somatic care beds distributed across three departments with 20 residents in each. In addition, we have a dementia ward with 40 residents. In the evening shift you work with two colleagues in each department and help each other across the building as needed.

You work in a 5/2 pattern with fixed working days Monday and Tuesday and a weekend shift in odd weeks. We offer an introduction program tailored to your experience with a mentoring scheme, cross-disciplinary sparring and ongoing follow-up.

We offer

  • A workplace where person-centered care, residents' self-determination and dignity are the foundation of our work.
  • Opportunity to build relationships and contribute to each resident's quality of life and sense of security.
  • A rehabilitative approach focusing on residents' own resources.
  • Dedicated colleagues and a strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • A work environment characterized by responsibility, humor and helpfulness.
  • Ongoing training and competence development.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is educated as a social- and health care assistant.
  • Thrives in building relationships and meeting people with respect, presence and interest.
  • Understands that residents have different needs, wishes and ways of living.
  • Works rehabilitatively and supports residents in maintaining as much independence as possible.
  • Has a positive and appreciative approach to residents, relatives and colleagues.
  • Sees collaboration as an equally important competence as professional expertise. We succeed best with the core task when we help each other, communicate openly and take shared responsibility for residents' well-being and daily life.
  • Is proficient with IT and the digital tools used in care.

At Skovvang we believe that good care is created through professionalism and good collaboration. Therefore we are not only looking for a skilled social- and health care assistant, but also a colleague who will be an active part of the community.
