Ungehjemmet Bifrost, a newly established 24-hour treatment offering located on Brandevej in Aalborg East, forms the framework for an integrated, cross-sectoral effort, where the collaboration between the offering and Aalborg University Hospital – psychiatry is close and coordinated.

The target group is normally intelligent young people aged 14–22 with severe self-harming behavior – often with comorbidity.

The professional foundation is mentalization-based environmental therapy (MBMT) with relationship work as a central element. In addition, systematic work with Low Arousal 2 (LA2) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) is undertaken. The offer is established in accordance with the Child Act § 43, stk. 1, no. 6 and stk. 3 as well as the Social Services Act § 107 and based on the Danish Quality Model.

We are looking for you who are have insight into working with young people with severe self-harming behavior. You thrive in a specialized environment, meet young people, relatives and partners professionally and positively, and see both professional and personal development as a natural part of the work. You have strong relationship and mentalization skills, can maintain calm and an overview in acute situations and work engaged and loyally with the shared professional approaches and methods, which you translate into practice.

You have as a night shift at Ungehjemmet Bifrost a special responsibility for

• Working both in awake night shifts and on-call shifts from the duty room – Ungehjemmet Bifrost has two night shifts every night
• To work weekends every other weekend.
• In awake night shifts to handle practical tasks such as tidying, cleaning, baking and preparing breakfast
• To create a calm, predictable and safe atmosphere during night hours
• To balance presence and boundary setting if a young person cannot sleep, is unsettled or struggling mentally, including engaging in short supportive conversations as needed
• To supervise the house, the young people and support the young people7s sense of safety
• To observe, document and respond to early signs of self-harm, including contributing to de-escalation and prevention through presence and professional tools
• To make professional assessments and act timely and relevant in increased risk and acute crises including handling any conflicts calmly and professionally
• To document incidents and pass on important information in handover to day shifts

As a trained social and health assistant you are employed according to the applicable collective agreement for social and health personnel entered into with FOA.

The position is 32 hours per week.

The process

• Application deadline is 22.10.2026
• The employment interviews are expected to be held on 27-29.10.2026
• Prior to the interview a case will be sent, which must be prepared and presented at the interview
• Upon offer of employment references and a child and criminal record check will be obtained
• Expected start date in the job is as soon as possible
