We have nursing homes across Copenhagen close to bus, metro and S-train – and in some places also with free parking. You can request a specific area of the city or a particular home, but your chances of an interview increase if you are open to several options.

We work to create safety and independence

At our nursing homes we take a creative and curious approach, and you can be involved as we develop new concepts and solutions. How do we create more safety when new residents move into the nursing homes? How do we create enjoyment of food for those who eat small amounts? And how can we best help residents increase their self-reliance?

Flexible task delegation, welfare technology and new aids are also a natural part of daily life at the City of Copenhagen's nursing homes.

Key tasks in your daily work

Together with skilled and engaged colleagues you get the opportunity for both professional and personal development, while you solve meaningful and varied tasks including

• evaluating residents’ needs and carrying out relevant nursing tasks
• creating presence, conversation and community with the elderly
• documenting, following up on and coordinating resident trajectories
• providing professional sparring with colleagues and guiding students

Employment terms

We can offer employment to trained social and health care assistants as soon as we have found the right match. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement, and your salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. We obtain a criminal record check and take references in connection with the hires.

If you have previously been employed by the City of Copenhagen, also applies

If you are considered for a position in a municipal unit, we will check whether within the last three years you have been laid off or dismissed from the municipality and share relevant information with the hiring manager. It may also include information about criminal offenses leading to dismissal, information about substance abuse such as a positive alcohol test, or information about medical history that could materially affect a new hire with the municipality.
