About the job

Social- and Healthcare Assistant for Birkebakken – a residential facility with heart and professionalism

Are you passionate about making a difference for people with special needs – and do you want a workplace with both closeness and development opportunities?

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for as a social- and healthcare assistant primarily in day shifts at Birkebakken.

Birkebakken is an independent residential facility for 7 adults with reduced mental and physical functioning, and is affiliated with the autonomous institution Red Cross Home. We are approved for residents from 40 years and up, who are developmentally disabled and have an acquired brain injury.

The work includes both care and support tasks.

We are looking for a social- and healthcare assistant on 32 hours per week, with interest and experience within housing communities for adults.

We are looking for a new colleague as soon as possible. We already consist of both pedagogical and health-care staff.

There may be an option for 37 hours, but with a combination of shifts at other care centers.

We are an autonomous institution with a service agreement with Sorø Municipality.

We value respect for the individual, their values and the right to make their own choices.

We prioritize a homely environment characterized by equality and humor in a safe and developing daily life, where the resident actively has influence on their own as well as shared experiences.

We offer you

  • present daily leadership with close dialogue and transparency
  • a workplace with shared values and clear goals
  • focus on professional development, e.g. within neuro-pedagogy and Low Arousal
  • an independent and varied work in collaboration with engaged colleagues
  • an informal environment characterized by trust, openness and cooperation
  • an organization in development, where you have the opportunity to make your mark

We expect that you

  • have interest in – or experience with – people with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injury
  • have worked with Nexus, VUM and documentation, and see the importance in it
  • are flexible and adaptable
  • have good collaboration skills, but also thrive independently
  • are empathetic, patient and present
  • face daily life with humor and a positive attitude
