We are seeking a Social and Health Assistant with psychiatric experience and/or with an interest in the psychiatric specialty. The positions can be commenced from 1.11 2026. The positions involve rotating shifts across 2 shifts and weekend shifts either every 2nd or 3rd weekend. You of course have influence on your work schedule so that there is balance between private and work life. As a starting point it is a 37-hour position, but other wishes can be accommodated.

About the Psychiatric Department Aabenraa

The department consists of a Psychiatric Emergency Room that admits patients on a 24-hour basis. In addition there are 95 beds distributed across the geriatric psychiatric ward and 5 general psychiatric wards. The distribution of patients is geographically determined.

In Haderslev, Sønderborg, Tønder and Åbenrå there are the department's outpatient units. Furthermore there is a geriatric ambulatory, OPUS, a suicide prevention clinic and an oligophrenia team.

We work purposefully to prevent coercive measures and minimize straitjacket restraints. This is achieved, among other things, through the implementation of the methods “Safewards” and “Trauma-Informed Approach”. The department's care and treatment foundation is relationship-based care and environmental therapy.

Salary  in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, negotiation and psychiatric allowance.

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position applied for. You will be told the base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the collective agreement regarding Salaries and employment conditions for social and health personnel – 32.03.1. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
