That is everyday life at Fjordglimt Care Center.

We are seeking an engaged social and health care assistant or social and health care aide for a permanent position predominantly in the evening shift. Here you will have the opportunity to use your skills, take responsibility and help create safe, dignified and meaningful everyday lives for our residents.

You will get

  • A strong work community with a culture characterized by respect, humor and integrity
  • Influence over your own workday and shift schedule
  • Opportunity to work independently and actively apply your professional skills
  • Good development opportunities in line with the new health and elderly care act
  • A thorough introduction, where we ensure you get a good start

Here, residents and relationships are at the center

At Fjordglimt we work from the belief that a good life does not end when you move into a care center.

Therefore, we base our approach on the residents' life stories, wishes and resources. We work from a neuro-pedagogical approach, and we focus on creating quality of life, self-determination and safety every single day.

Our shared direction is

"We support the citizen toward a healthy and dignified life."

This means that we work every day to create

  • Quality of life and meaningful daily living
  • Self-determination and involvement
  • Coherence and quality in care
  • Strong interprofessional collaboration
  • Focus on nutrition and well-being
  • A dignified and safe end of life

Who are you?

You are, first and foremost, a colleague who contributes positively to the community.

We want you to

  • Be trained as a social- and health care assistant or a social- and health care helper
  • Meet residents, relatives and colleagues with presence, respect and recognition
  • Thrive with responsibility and independence
  • Have an eye for both quality and relationships
  • Be flexible and able to keep an overview in a changing daily life
  • See documentation as a natural part of the professional practice
  • Want to learn new things and contribute to the ongoing development of our care center
