About the job

Submit one application. We have five home care units, plenty of opportunities and a job that suits you. Take the next step in your SOSU career with us now! We conduct ongoing interviews.

Gain freedom and flexibility in your working life and give the elderly Copenhagen residents a meaningful life

Right now we are seeking professionally skilled social and health care assistants who want to help provide elderly Copenhagen residents with a healthy and dignified existence in their own homes. You can be a recent graduate or have many years of experience.

You can choose to apply for a job in one or more local areas. If you apply in several areas, there is a greater chance of a match.

A daily life with diverse tasks

In the City of Copenhagen's Home Care, you feel the city's heartbeat and the changing seasons, when you cycle through the city to visit our elderly. We work to ensure the elderly experience self-determination, and that our help increases their ability to manage daily life in their own home. We work in cross-disciplinary teams with near visitation (TTN). This means that all professional groups meet and discuss how we can collaborate to help citizens. We agree who can best help the citizen professionally, and we work to tailor services and assistance to the citizens' needs and wishes.

Your tasks will primarily be to

  • provide holistic care in selected complex care pathways
  • assess the citizen and perform nursing tasks
  • document, follow up on and coordinate processes
  • collaborate professionally with colleagues, mentor students and be a professional role model for SSH colleagues

We offer

You will receive a thorough introduction where you will be trained to handle initiation visits with new citizens. We ensure that your professional skills are put to use and discuss your particular areas of interest, and whether you wish to specialize.

You have the option to work either day shifts or a fixed rotation in the evenings (either 7/7 or 5/2). You will work independently with responsibility for your own route, but your colleagues are always just a phone call away.

Submit one application – and we will help you move forward

Click on 'Apply for the job' and fill out the application form. Here you can tell us where and how you would like to work. You can also attach your CV and your application. We review applications on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to apply right away.

We have an overview of all vacant positions in home care in Copenhagen – from Husum to Amager and from Østerbro to Sydhavnen . We look at your preferences and do everything we can to help you move on to a home care unit with a vacant position that suits you. When a home care unit would like to meet you, you will be invited to an interview with them. Here you can hear more about the job, daily life and your upcoming colleagues – and they can get to know you better.

Ring or send an SMS directly to us at 30 50 32 52 if you want to hear more about your options.

Copenhagen Home Care is divided into five local areas

  • Valby, Kgs. Enghave, Vesterbro and Sydhavn (VKV)
  • Indre By, Østerbro, Nordhavn and Christianshavn (IBØ)
  • Bispebjerg, Nørrebro, Nordvest and Emdrup (BIN)
  • Vanløse, Brønshøj-Husum and Tingbjerg (VBH)
  • Amager (AMA)

If you are also interested in working in a nursing home, you can note this in the questionnaire when you apply for the position.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Conditions of employment

We can offer employment for trained social and health care assistants as soon as possible, once we have found the right match. You will be employed according to the applicable collective agreement, and your salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. In connection with the employment, we take references and obtain a criminal background check and a children's background check where relevant.

If you have previously been employed by Copenhagen Municipality

If you are considered for a position with the municipality, we will check whether you have been discharged or dismissed from the municipality within the last three years and share relevant information with the hiring manager. This may also include information about criminal offenses that led to dismissal or removal from Copenhagen Municipality, information about substance abuse such as a positive alcohol test or information about medical history that could be of substantial significance for a new employment with the municipality.
