About Bakkehuset

Bakkehuset is a §108 residential care facility for adults with diagnoses within autism spectrum disorders and reduced functioning. We are located close to Glostrup Hospital and consist of three units – House 7, 9 and 11 – with a total of 18 residents aged 25–67 years. All residents have their own apartments, and we prioritize a safe and active environment with good outdoor areas and easy access to local facilities.

The units work closely together to create a lively and professional environment for both residents and staff.

All residents require personal support and care, including help with personal care as needed.

Our professional approach

At Bakkehuset we work with

• KRAP – which you are expected to train in through our internal programs
• Visual support (eg Boardmaker)
• Low Arousal
• Gentle Teaching as a fundamental approach

You will receive ongoing training in the methods you have not yet mastered.

Who are you?

We are seeking a pedagogue – or a staff member with documented experience from the autism field – who thrives in a professional and compassionate environment.

We expect you to

• master written documentation
• preferably have knowledge of Cura (not a requirement)
• have a medical course or be willing to take one
• show respect, patience and put the resident at the center
• actively participate in the development of KRAP methodology and autism-related work
• know your own limits and use your colleagues and partners constructively
• take initiative, be flexible and diligent

Salary and employment terms

• The position is 37 hours per week, with an as soon as possible start
• Working hours between 07:00–23:30
• Work on all days of the week, with a working weekend every other week
• Rotas in a 4-week cycle
• Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement – pay is set according to SL’s collective agreement
